Salman Rushdie got attacked more than 30 years later a fatwa against him was released,last I read he was likely to lose one eye.Seeing this,it wouldn't be wrong to say that nupur sharma too wouldn't be too careful living cautiously all her life.Parallels like these can not be found in hindus.We don't kill or take laws in our hands with nearly as much frequency or barbarity,hindus majorly go for boycott or file cases when our religion is insulted ...there really is no comparison even if you keep saying "both" in caps lock.Your caps lock is not going to change the reality.

And EVERYONE condemned Pulwama attack, France attack, attack on Salman Rushdie.

Everyone has condemned attack on Salman Rushdie and attacks on Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan in recent years.

Every single person.

I never said both religions are equal. I said violence and vigilantism by fanatics of any community is called out openly.

Remember how everyone had condemned attack on a cop in Punjab and chopping off his wrist by a religious fanatic in 2020? Bollywood stars had also condemned it.

Right now all are condemning threats to JK Rowling for supporting Salman Rushdie.

Attacks like Pulwama, France attack etc were also condemned by all. So were lynchings in name of blasphemy in Pak.

Vinod Khanna, Dev Anand, Shotgun, Utpal Dutt, Kishore Kumar, Balraj Sahni, Gulzar openly criticised Emergency and paid price for it. They did speak on public platform or wrote in papers. Or spoke at rallies.

Shabana was also into activism from 80s itself.

Dev Anand even tried to launch his own party to challenge INC and Emergency.

It is not like only stars of today yell online.

So what is insulting in his statement? He has not supported those threatening NS. He rightfully called them empty vessels as they deserve to be treated.

He did not downplay threats to NS.

Ofcourse they do, but will manipulate everything to give an otherwise impression to twist the trust out there.

Lies and manipulation can work to a certain extent, we just need patience , no one can hide the truth for long, the paid trolls can fulfill their agenda to a cetrain time only.

Harbhajan singh, Arjun Kapoor, Saif r part of LeLi gang? Didn't know..Khushwant Singh..the one who passed away in 2014? Taapsee..I somehow don't like anything she does..except Thappad movie.

Attacks r not the same as trolling..they have far serious repercussions and should be condemned.

He did downplay the threats against her by calling them empty vessels and said Nupur Sharma has nothing to fear

Lol yeah we all thought empty vessels after decades of threats to Salman Rushdie. Look how that turned out. What’s the death toll so far in NS related cases btw? Last I checked, three murders and four brutal assaults. Empty vessels? REALLY? SMH.
