I have said this before also, everything other than Marvel/DC and a total of 5 Telugu films have crashed at the box office. IF is in its own la la land but the Telugu hype train is also going to run dry soon. Between Jio and streaming, everyone has access to much better content on streaming. Bollywood needs to prioritize writers if they want to survive.

They are purposely letting in untalented outsiders like Tara and bland girls like Kriti, on purpose. It’s all a game. They want the nepotism wale bache to look surperior. That’s why they have “weak” outsiders like Tara, Kriti, Sidharth around…. To inflate the nepo ego.

BB2 was good up until the end. That was weird imho

I think in telugu they have understood economics is not working out,

good, think and evolve a structure, maybe gap to OTT release, small theaters, less ticket price for smaller movies etc

better bw also does this instead of playing blame game and pretending average movies are big successes

also no star can make a movie hit, leave alone that even costs may not be recovered thanks to the salary they charge

one thing is clear in all the successes. a slb, hirani, rajamouli, prashant neel, lokesh are bigger then stars

all stars are clamouring to work with them

so the directors and writers are bigger stars

this is good, hope this star system dies

yes, they know their survival depends on making it profitable for all

In south actors have no taken remuneration or returned when films were disasters and have compensated distributors

rajni kanth, chiranjeevi, ram charan to even sai pallavi

what about hindi, only aamir has done (not sure)

but they know it has to be profitable for everyone if they have to earn big and survive

I wonder how much the whole OTT shift has affected in promoting films and making people aware that a new film is coming?? Earlier, you had just netflix , but that was an add on to your existing cable tv channels. So you still browsed through your channels randomly and came across the promotions on different channels - like some film press conference getting relayed in one news channel or some song getting released in a music channel. But how much does that even happen anymore??

Now, you have every channel coming up with their own OTT subscriptions. A lot of the folks I know would probably have a Netflix or an Amazon Prime with, maybe a Hotstar or a Sony or Zee subscription. But I think this type of tv viewing has reduced the chances of people stumbling upon new movie promotions, songs etc... I mean, unless it is a big-ticket movie where the buzz somehow makes it way to everyone, it is a lot harder for a lot of the other movies to really get the word out there.

Conclusion hai ki sabko ab apne ghar pe mast araam se movie dekhna hai unless koi mast movie aye wo jhukenge nahi.
