AnupaMaa: Most disloyal, hypocrite, shameless lead ever - Page 3

Haven’t watched any episodes since this nonsensical Godh Bharai, but I saw the clip where she’s talking proudly about how she’s balancing n loving everyone including ex 😡🙄... I mean there is illogical and senseless writing on ITV , but this is truly on a different level !!!! It’s appalling , shameless and frankly gross .... And sadly it’s the number one show on TV , with no competition in sight , winning all awards and accolades for its producer , leads and even writers ... I have myself detached from Maan n show overall , but what worries and angers me is their sheer indifference and callousness towards an audience, few of whom admit that the show has inspired and influenced them ... many of them have gone through similar stories of abuse , broken homes and marriages .. there are many personal stories on Twitter today by ppl who have felt let down by the show and what it represents , including a heartbreaking account by a very dear member of this forum 😒

The hypocrisy of saying the show is focusing on “women empowerment “ and delivering socially relevant msgs ...

And Fgs stop this over glorification of motherhood just bcz the show is called Anupamaaaaa !!!! Being a mother is not the only happiness in a women’s life or the sole reason for her existence ... Stop shaming women who by choice or circumstance might be childless ...

The protagonist of the show has become the biggest joke and there is not a single likeable or relatable character in show currently .. Aneri in recent iV had said she may return to show though she wishes it could be in different role ... Even Nidhi Shah has expressed her dissatisfaction with her character and openly saying she’s looking for opportunities elsewhere ..

RG in her recent IG post has said Anupamaa is her journey towards self discovery and self love ... I don’t have anything against her personally, but really feel like asking her is this what she really thinks is right for her character , whom she claims to be so close to in RL ? The actors especially the main leads might be very popular and making lots of money , but they are definitely going to lose their credibility ( one of them has anyway lost it to the point of no return ) with the mature online FD whose not afraid to call out the show for its absurdities and shortcomings ... I really hope for a strong Twitter Trend against this , the makers truly deserve it this time 😡

To be honest I do not have any problems with the negativity being shown. My main issue is what is the purpose of that? Even if there is no purpose I am fine. The thing that frustrates me is makers are being hypocrite now. In one hand they are boasting that the show is inspiring people and on the other hand they are showing such regressive thoughts and the audacity to say that every woman should do that? Who are they to say that what other women should do or shouldn't do? You(makers) are not interested in showing that a woman can break away from her past/trauma for the sake of drama and trp, don't show then. But then don't market it as something that real people can take inspiration from.

I am binge watching Anupammaa on Hulu Hotstar on USA and love it. I am still on the part where Anu has the cancer scare. I am from the “ western” culture where after a divorce, ex couples go their separate ways and only come together for their children’s milestone celebrations. I agree that this is the stress free way to live life. However, what “western” and nuclear families don’t understand is Anu comes from a joint ex sasural. Yes, she can meet her children elsewhere but she also has deep connections with Babuji and Baa. They are an elderly couple and for Anu, Babuji is her father. To keep a relationship with them, she needs to visit them from time to time at their house. This means being friendly or at least respectful of their son Vanraj. It’s like you don’t like your Babhi but you tolerate her if you’re mother lives with her.

I have yet to watch the current episodes of Anupamma, so my POV could change along the way.

Today her lecture on how a woman should maintain all relationships beautifully and the way she was gloating about creating a balance between her ex husband and spouse was disgusting. I am not a fan of Rakhi since she is always very elitist and makes very crude and crass remarks but she was 100% right in whatever she said to Barkha- that the Shah family is a bunch of hypocrites who use sanskar as per their convenience and nobody even bothered about what Vanraj did to Mukku. Even when Anupamaa gave her stupid lecture, the show painted her as being right by playing the background music. This is one show where I am unable to relate to the lead and I get irritated with her dumbness.

Emotional Cheating is still cheating. No spouse in the world would be comfortable with someone visiting their ex who still has feeling for them and also insults their new husband and his family

Human beings are not robots, anupama will still have feeling for vanraj after so many years. Vanraaj obviously has feelings for her. This is emotional cheating if you continue to place yourself in such situations

Life is not a picnic where you get everything, you need to make your choices. In any new relationship you need to give first priority to your new spouse and their family. If you cannot, that relationship is doomed. In real life no new spouse will ever tolerate this

You will lose everything wanting it all

There is a reason it's called the honeymoon period. The time when new relationship develop with lots of time spent together. When 50 to 75% of your time is spent with ex, your relationship won't work
