I dont know if you have watched the episode...

But Jagtap punctured the tyres... so Sam really had no option but to get down from the car. He was simple outnumbered and overpowered. In fact Sai herself has the capability of fighting the goons but she was weak in that moment being unwell.

Had it been Mohit, he wouldn't have been able to do 10% of what Sam did.

So Sam did give his best and tried to do what he could given the circumstances. That to me is heroic.

As for his behaviour post landmine, who doesn't make mistakes? To me, even KJ not paying heed to her concern about J and still persisting to be in GC was wrong. He underestimated the threat and J.

Yes Sam failed her there... and the writing in that whole track sucked... there are still lot of unaddressed issues from that phase which I don't know if they ever will be dealt with.

Still much better bond than others.

Nice post! Sai is indeed a unique character. So unique that sometimes her character doesnt need any analysis. She is well understood. Manasa(by mind), vaacha(by talk) and karmana(by action) she always does the right things. It is as simple as that. I wrote in one of my posts how she is a complete woman, with a mind of a man, police man to say precisely.

While she talks and does what her mind says, the problem is also there. If her mind is not clear, her talk also becomes unclear and so will be the resulting actions. We have seen this happening with Virat!! Virat by now should have understood, that Sai needs clarity not Jelebis. Jokes apart, this is what I feel about men in her life especially the most important duo. KJ and Virat.

As Virat points out several times, Sai has only seen black and white. That is true because she was raised by a police man and her neighbors and everyone are also from police force. In my post on her, I also mentioned how a deep bond with her father, almost like freindship never allowed her to make friends of her age, or see the situations out of her household. Whatever she saw was Jagtap who she must have relegated to 'black' zone. And you rightly pointed out that, having a mother or any strong female perspective would have made her to deal with little restraint. But the question is why?, in ideal world why should there be a restraint for a woman? Just because there are people like Jagtap, and because of them women are physically vulnerable, they have to show restraint to speak out? These questions are relevant but dont go well with the misogynist soceity we still are part of. Ofcourse you dont go and enrage a person like Jagtap, who is shaped like that by the society. May be KJ would have never stopped her to behave the way she does with Jagtap, because he must have thought that he is always there to protect her! But a mother would have told her to be careful. KJ's parenting definitely has role to play behind Sai's forthcoming attitude, but it is also a very desirable feature that attracted Virat (let me come to this 😉)

While Virat appreciates and admires this fierceness, he doesnt want her to unleash it infront of the family. He enjoys it in the confines of their room or even outside but not inside family. May be he knows his family is orthodox and cannot handle Sai. He wants to maintain peace in that way. His initial rebuke of Sai has been around this attitude with his family. If we notice, now he doesnt restrict her there also. The more Sai is accepted as DIL, he kind of let her be inside CN also. May be there is also mellowing down from Sai's side too, which made it easy for him to let it go. But he never restricts her outside, even in the jail with Jagtap he let her have her way. He might also have the same attitude as KJ, that he will be around her to douse off if she starts a fire! 🤣. It is hidden understanding. In KD, there is a dialogue from Sai in their post confession talk, where she tells that she can be exactly like the same person as she used to be with her father, around Virat. While Virat did not ask her to tone down, Sai herself learnt to deal things 'Virat' way inside the house. It could be her love for Virat, or her own growing bonds with family members. When you start to own people, you let go of their mistakes. Thats definitely growth I would say. This toning down as you mentioned might help her deal with situation better, by giving time and thought as Virat does. However, I dont see her losing the fierceness yet. It might come out in full force when needed. May be tomorrow if she sees through Pakhi, I dont think she will be quiet. In KD, Emon was always fiery when things go wrong. Otherwise, she is very understanding and sacrificing for the family.

Sammy might not have taught her anything per say, but he did instill the sense of family just like Pulkit did. While Pulkit might be her go to person, Sammy is the strongest support inside the family especially when Virat cant say things openly in support of his wife. Usually it is easy for a 3rd person to take stand for a DIL inside the house than the husband, because husband's support is always viewed with contempt. But a brother's or elder brother in law's support can pass a strong message. With Sammy around, Sai would have had less battles to fight inside the house. Alas!!

In short, what I wanted to say is Sai did have lot of influence from the two most important men in her life. KJ and Virat. Both have had positive influences on her, and both let her live like she wants which is very endearing. Pulkit and Samrat are strong men who are there to lean on, though might not have shaped her behavior.

PS: While writing this I realized, Sai not having Samrat in CN is definitely a huge loss. He would have been a pillar of support for her, more than Virat.

V and her dynamics can be discussed forever and ever and how that shaped everything in her life.

I mentioned in that post that some decisions taken by these men in her life or something shevwas forced too because of them was this.

KJ took a decision to stay back in GC even after getting VRS and V took a decision on her behalf to get married to her.

Both were beyond her control... But in the end it is she who suffered the most.

I wanted to make it more about the other men too hence didnt dwell on V much. Jagtap being the catalyst in all this.
