Kajol and Twinkle Khanna have finally responded to the backlash their chat show, Two Much With Kajol & Twinkle, received after its premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The show faced criticism on social media for several statements made during its episodes, prompting the actresses to address the reactions directly.
The last regular episode of the show featured actors Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon. A bonus episode, released on Thursday, November 26, 2025, included cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma. During this episode, Kajol introduced a segment called This Side That Side, which had previously stirred debate. She said, “Now it’s time for our next segment, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble. Welcome to This Side That Side, where opinions don’t matter as much as light-hearted teasing.”
Twinkle added a clarification for the audience, acknowledging the criticism they had faced earlier. “And there’s a disclaimer, which we should have had from the first episode, that nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously. Please don’t follow any of our advice in this segment,” she said.
Some of the earlier controversies revolved around discussions on emotional versus physical infidelity. When Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor appeared on the show, the conversation sparked debates. Kajol, Karan, and Twinkle agreed that emotional cheating could be worse than physical cheating, while Janhvi disagreed. Karan remarked, “Physical infidelity is not a deal breaker,” to which Janhvi responded, “No, the deal is broken.” Twinkle added, “Raat gayi baat gayi.” When Janhvi continued to express her disagreement, Twinkle commented, “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s, and she will get into this circle soon.”
Another moment that caught attention was Kajol’s comment on marriage, where she suggested that marriages could come with an expiry date or renewal option. “I definitely think so. Who says you will get married to the right person at the right time? So, you should have a renewal option. And if there’s an expiry date, then we don’t have to suffer for too long,” she said.
Through their latest episode, both Kajol and Twinkle aimed to clarify that the show’s conversations are meant to be light-hearted and not taken as strict advice, urging viewers to approach the discussions with a sense of humour.
