1. Bete ki chaah mein aaj bhi Bahus ko taane maare jaatein hai. Ladkiyon ke maa baap ko aaj bhi "haaye bechare" bola jata hai.😑

2. Aaj bhi dhongi babas innocent logon ki emotions je saath khelte hai. Har newspaper and Magazines mein aise Babas ke advertisements bhare rehte hai 🥺

Lot of such things happen in small places. We living in cities are unaware of this, and think it's regressive in 2022 to reduce women to baby making machines, but fact is it keeps happening to other women all around us.

And it's not like these women who go through these stupid rituals on the behest of family have no fight in them. But their inability is used against them, to guilt and torture them. Add to that social dependence on in-laws and financial dependence on husband makes them take the torture silently. Even parents expect them to co operate with unreasonable demands of in-laws for the fear of society in case of broken marriages.

It's a vicious cycle.

You don't know my plight. I live in this damn state. Chhattisgarh.

I've seen all sorts of these things around me bachpan se, even in my family, but most of them were harmless like taking some medicine or doing some ritual. None of them so traumatizing but Just that the idea behind this is so so horrible.

Exactly Pooja 😔

If we are fortunate enough not to witness these kind of things...doesn't mean it's not happening around us.

Financial dependency is the biggest reason for women being silent to this kind of things.

Another thing is Infertility treatment is way to expensive and out of reach from the common man. That's what benefits these kind of Dhongi Babas to make their place in the society.

I also witnessed people going to get "Bibhuti" to cure different kind illnesses. But nothing like this i ever witnessed in my life.

I remember once reading an article about such Baba physically assaulting women to make them pregnant 🤬🤮

Its so sickening that vile people like these fake Babas take advantage of innocent and helpless people 🥺

I live in Australia and have lived here most of my life. And this happens here. I have seen people around me go through this in the name of societal pressure or this is expected after marriage.

I hope they handle this topic well.
