I haven't seen any of these personally as northeast culture is very different from other parts of India but here I have seen many communities softening like marwaris or Biharis when they stay here but also saw them being what they are when they return back to their state. My father had a govt job and met many people from the North. They come here get culture shock, accept it and when return back they do the same what people from that place does.

It's not people.its their insecurities, lack of zeal to fight for their rights for their self respect.
