UD is competing at 7.00 pm slot so comparing it with TVR or TRP of let say 9.00 pm slot or 9.30 pm slot will be unfair cause those are prime time slot.

You know how most of the geniuses, smart people with extremely high IQ, students with really really good grades... Most of them just end up regular people, and people are disappointed in them.

I was a straight topper, doing well in co curricular activities, despite being an introvert one of the most popular students in our school BUT post 11th standards, a few personal issues just came crashing down and I lost the grip. Every teacher, friend called my parents every week how I was slipping and just f*d me much more. Btw even then, the lowest I'd scored was 86% in my term exams🤷🏽‍♀️

UD outdid everything so much that it's not even kept in mind that it's almost impossible to have that TRP on this slot.

IPL matches start at 7:30. UD slot may be 7:00 but it airs late. No proper timing. Kabhi 7:08 and kabhi 7:10. The episode ends somewhere around 7:40. And for trp to count even advertisements count. So basically if metered tv is on btw 7:00 and 7:30 then trp counts for UD. But since most people know it starts late tho that does affect trp. So partial time slot partial ipl and then ofcourse the bad track they were running is affecting UD. ipl affects other shows too but UD has added factors that are also affecting.

Colors should definitely look into that...not airing the show at exact 7pm

And the track also matters though...now they should speed up thodha sa...warna again it will be boring

IPL match starts @7.30 but toss happens @7 pm. Another factor is timings. None of the Colors show start in time. UD is suppose to start @7.00 pm but it never starts in time. It starts somewhere around 7.06 pm to 7.10 pm so it ends around 7.40 pm, which is 10 mins after IPL match starts. For TRP to have full effect you need to watch the show from start to end even ad breaks are counted. Also Colors don't have the reach like Star Plus. The penetration in the market is pretty low.

BTW I just realized my mom is obsessed with udaariyaan. Like we were getting ready for a wedding, so much stuff going on, and she wanted to schedule her parlor appointment in a way that she's able to watch it

My mum is not such a religious follower a last week when we were on call, she was like you know Tejo is dead. My Papa was like who is Tejo? 🤣

I have 'accidently' walked on my mom watching ud, trying to watch precap or some really interesting scene by Pri excuse. I started this during atrangi shaadi and told my mom just how gorgeous this actress was. .. she started to tell me the entire story and I was like I don't care just the heroine is hot. Everyone else seems like chambu

But my mom does follow it religiously. .. here we were busy in a family wedding, trying to get ready, actually helping out the family whose daughter was getting married (I had to make sure all the family ladies(abt 25-30 in 7-8 different parlors)get ready on time, arranging their parlor appointment, sending them to venue...) And my mom wanted to be at home by seven

I agree nowadays cricket watching is gender neutral. I am someone who follows world cricket religiously. I'm following IPL sitting in Iceland...😆 But, in Indian homes as Blue said most of the families have only one TV set. So the person who rules the remote has the power.

Surprisingly, even IPL is losing ratings every week. Compared to last year IPL which happened in Dubai, the ratings are comparatively low.

My mum knows I watch UD and Tejo is my favourite so she was just trying to update me with latest happening as I would be missing watching the show. The funny thing was my dad's confusion about someone name Tejo is dead and he is not aware about it and my mum was informing me in Iceland...🤣He was constantly bugging my mom and she was like, I tell you later. She catch the show when she remembers or as per time permit.
