My interpretation is that Ram used this song to actually tell Priya that he is very fortunate to have received Priya as his wife by sone good fortune that she now has turned into his knight who is “making shadows(of hatred and indifference) cooler for him”. Also, he is trying to possibly tel her that the heat of atrocities is fairly inflict on him might be dire but she is the personification of MONSOON RAIN— something he loves a lot— in his life who bring to him respite from that excruciating heat he receives from his family.
Also, this song is about good fortune and fertility(talks about seeds and grains) so maybe he is hinting at her that he looks forward to one have his seeds germinate to life with the companionship of her nurturing water(women are usually seen as fluids).
And that with her in his life, “dark nights” cease to exist and are gladly replaced with happiness and joy. And that with her by his side he will always be reassured to have good times at the end of any ordeal his so-called family puts him through.
And also the song is about dancing and singing to express happiness— he tells Priya before he starts dancing that “dekho! I’ll show you how happy I am” and then he starts dancing about good fortune, fertility, festivity and happiness… which he apparently showed for Shdivi but it actually was all for Priya(also what validates my claim is the fact that during the dance his gaze was constantly and only on Priya… with him even making eye gestures towards her whenever words and phrases like happiness, want to fly away with happiness, I am blessed came)
That’s my take, baki tell me your thoughts Ragazzi
