There was a drama I saw a few years ago, where the lead hero was given a chance to die and resurrect to choose between the girl he fell in love and his childhood best friend who loves him. Both women were equal to him. This is the actual plot of the story. There is a subplot of the woman he loves. She had a boyfriend for years who died due to an accident and she happens to meet the lead hero and the lead hero’s another childhood friend. While the childhood friend looked totally like her dead ex, it was the lead hero who attracted and appealed to her more because he had the same character and personality as her dead ex. Eventually she chose the lead hero(the one who had the same personality as her dead ex) over the childhood friend(who only looked like her dead ex but is totally different as a person). Why this story here? I am just trying to say that it’s possible that Sonia fell for Raj because he looked exactly like Rohit, but eventually it was of his character, which reminded her of Rohit more. Raj also had Rohit’s loyalty and selfless personality, which eventually made her fall for Raj. It’s her luck that Raj also happened to look like Rohit as well.

Hmm interesting take, I have always interpreted the last 30 mins as Nandini choosing Vanraj not because he was her husband but because of the selfless love he had. As a man from a very orthodox background, he chose her happiness over hers even if it was with someone else.

It resonated with Nandini because she also believed in such a love. There was a lot of growth in Nandini too, from someone who was very naive and immature girl to a mature and understanding woman.

Also because Samir and Nandini was portrayed as a first love based on attraction and mutual love for music.

While with Vanraj you could see the attraction from his end as a starting point, the relationship blossomed from awkwardness to respect to friendship to understanding and even attraction and lust. The way SLB portrayed it, made sense as he took it from Nandini pov and there was a lot of cheering on the climax.

Contrary I saw a south indian movie with a similar context but the woman chose her lover and not her husband in spite of doing the same thing as Vanraj and also the husband convinced all families to accept them, this worked probably because the love story between the lovers that the film showed was strong and with the husband it was just respect not even friendship

Sameer said that he couldn't see the same feelings in her eyes for him in the last scene.so that means she had fallen out of love.

She was still missing Sameer even days after she was accidentally shot (that dholitaro song) that means she still had feelings for him. After Vanraj expressed his feelings in his drunken state she realized he loves her so much. Obviously she can't fall in love with him in one night. She realized just like he fulfilled his duty as a husband to keep his wife happy even if it meant taking her to her lover, she too has to fulfill her duty as a wife by choosing him over her lover. She just chose her duty over her love. We can safely assume she'll fall in love with Vanraj too after moving on from Sameer but it did feel like to me that she was still in love with Sameer but chose Vanraj because she understood the sanctity of marriage.

Because there is nothing to discuss in KNPH except how hot Hrithik looked in it.
