so yesterday’s episode was good…but I read the written update of todays episode and it was full of abhira and their bakwass so I gave the episode a skip. I really hope these writers don’t do something terrible to Arohi…like what they did to shubhum..🥺

wow Sirat and Kartik really did have a better and more normal relationship than Kaira… But how soon after giving birth to Akshara did Naira die? And Kartik must have married Sirat very soon after for both babies to be so close in age?

Actually there was a lot of misdirection regarding the ages of the two girls.. It was more than a year after Naira's death when kartik married sirat.. Aarohi was born a year after that.. And akshu must have been 5-6 months old when naira died.. But during the track they showed akshu like an infant instead of the toddler she would have been.. I read somewhere it was probably bcz of covid guidelines not allowing any small kids on set.. But there are other ways they could have managed that.. This was just lazy direction bcz of which it appeared to viewers that kartik re-married within few months of naira's death. On air, it was eight months from Sirat's entry to Kartik realising he has feelings for her in which there was also a six month leap. And a month after that they got married.

Seems typical, this show “Benjamin Buttons” the ages of characters for convenience. Look at Dadi/Mimi - she should be a 100 plus years 😆

So I watched Ep 3 of Alif - I liked how the connections between Momin and Momina are unfolding. Momina’s father’s lifelong devotion/love for Husn was unexpected. I didn’t expect conservative Pakistani families to have pushy “momagers” but it seems both Husn and Momina’s mothers were all about their acting careers.
Poor Dada - imagine hearing Neha compare calligraphy to how Momin displays his heroines in his movies That was such an odd thing for her to say - I guess it shows she’s shallow like all of Momin’s interests.

The cook - yeesh… saying Momin is innocent and corrupted by all the “bad” girls he brings home🤔

Momina conveys her quiet desperation and despair so well. The dynamic between her and her brother was sweet and poignant. There’s something very gentle and wistful about this show, the pacing of its plot as well as the acting.

Husne Jahan's mother is a totally different category from Momina's mom who has a past.. All the main characters have poignant back stories. Husn's mom is like a brothel madam!
