Most people are not able to understand the real concept of the show... They think that it's promoting patriarchy... No it's. Not. The case. They are showing the reality. What really happens with middle. Class girls. . And i guess vj and vidhi are both doing a great job

Also one thing I really like is that voice over which tells the audience how women keep giving away parts of themselves in exchange for what they think is love. Every cliche romantic scene or 'moment' in the show comes across in a very different light because of that comment coming from an omniscient third party voice. If the viewers really paid attention to what this show is saying about indian telly romance as a genre, then the whole discourse would have had to change itself. Unfortunately most people won't get it.

@Bold Exactly, it is showing the hidden implications of the ITV promoted "picture perfect" romance.

@UL: That is the sad reality for most of SSPs shows, that if you look closely enough, you see the hidden realities behind every other TV story ever! But unfortunately, no one wants to look that closely... It happened to Barrister Babu too, and will most probably happen to MCKJ too. 😢

Absolutely agree!!! Telly dramas have romanticised abuse to the point where toxic relationships have now become the epitome of romance. This show is difficult to watch precisely because it says it like it is and calls out abuse.

Haven't watched the other show you mention.. was it good? But yes, I can already see that this show is being severely misunderstood by most viewers. But perhaps once Saumya begins to actually protest against this cage she has now been placed in, viewers will realise what is happening. It is sad though that subtle storytelling falls flat on the tv audience to this point.

Barrister Babu was a severely underrated SSP show, it has the same Creative Director (Neha Kothari) as this one... It was a brilliant show, because of possibly controversial themes, they had to be very very subtle about how they presented the show, especially the relationship between the leads. Check it out on Voot, I think you will like it.

Agree with ur points on the race of those unrealistic serials this serial has something good to tell this is a highly realistic family with this mindset exists even in those serials but they never show this dark side they follow the rule of jitne aanshu Utne TRP FL need to suffer Barnaa serial chalega Kaise FL ki toh submissive hona Hain Toh hi best barna and perfect In this world of unrealistic serial this has a realistic story to tell I guess aishe had richi rich Jo logo ke thoughts jaroor honge India main hi hamare samne examples hain

For now Saumya's character is in quite natural form and far better than other FL sanskar ki Murat type bilkul nahin like a normal girl she has a lot of dreams and being a girl 21st century her thinking is according to it only she is one with open-minded thinking in a conservative family is a new bahu she can not raise her voice in everything she needs time for this 1stly her marriage with Armaan is against their will class difference being new bahu she can't raise her in everything as it will create hurdles for her only so we have to wait for little more for watching her original side shurwat toh ho hi cuka..

Unlike other tv serials let's hope Saumya to burn Armaan's ego with her fierce avatar..

It going to be a difficult one as Armaan is a media sensation so Saumya needs to handle this with courtesy or else with power Armaan can do anything he can blame Saumya he can defame he can ruin her career even he can spread fake news against her and her family for getting in his favour so every step of Saumya needed to taken more smartly than Armaan to kick him out..

Soumya should write a story on how women are treated in Arman Oberois house and sell it to any leading channel .
