So, Today I got to know how much my dad against homosexuality that he can not even utter the word and doesn't want to hear any argument from me or my sibling about it. He says its an psychological issue that can be treated medically or by counselling or so.

Is it the same at your side?

Yes, my dad is toxic AF in general. I've stopped talking to him.

Creepy that you should post this now because just today a family member of mine was saying the same thing 😲...

Needless to say I don't agree at all, LGBT+ people have existed forever and simply not being straight and cisgender isn't a mental illness, and it's not morally wrong either imo.

This is not directly related to this topic I know, but when I was in school I knew a boy who's (very much straight) parents were extremely physically abusive to him and his sister, which resulted in them getting put in a government children's home, from where they were adopted by a lesbian couple...

The boy was understandably pretty troubled at first but he gradually improved, got better at school, etc. and from what I can tell is leading a reasonably normal, stable life now, ditto for the sister.

Wonder how many of these homophobes can look someone in the eye and say with confidence that those kids would have had a better life in the care system, or worse with those birth "parents"...
