Not quite dean and student, but SAAKK (Shaurya aur Anokhi ki Kahani) on Star was a professor-student story I think.

All the top shows are emas obssesive lovers and yeh rishta types...pranali cant act to save herself but the franchise works.....this choice was different and the makers are confused between drama and straight honest story ..even now its 20 percent drama otherwise decent story.would have worked on star..

Plus star and colors automatically get more views than zee..hence trps start at 1 for all their shows

She is really good in this too you cant recognize ishqi...and overshadows hitesh in all scenes

But thanks to excessive bts ppl cant see her without param atleast on twitter..and some then bitch about the show hoping it fails

The production house is big time confused with the story and treatment
