The fans are desperate lol, it's fine to have your head in the sand, but it's also good idea to to take your head out once in a while and smell the fresh air. 😆

Everything comes to an end, everyone becomes irrelevant eventually, SRK has been flopping for a while now, the times have changed, audience has changed, the hamming, hakla'ing and the "hmm " no longer work, sure he has his hands in many different things, and continue to make money, but as far as his acting career is concerned, he's pretty much finished.

His phase as a romance hero is definitely over. But I wouldn’t say that there’s nothing left for his acting career. If he reinvents himself and let’s go of the Raj and Rahul image, then he can continue his acting career and succeeding in them. Films like Chak De, Swades and Dear Zindagi suits him better, especially in this age. I mean, if I’m going to be tortured seeing Salman for another 50 years, then shubh shubh bolo. 😭

Here's hoping that we have many more SRK films over the years. Not because SRK needs the films and hits, but because I think the world needs to enjoy SRK for years to come.

Beautifully written. ❤️

I think he has tried to reinvent himself in the last few years by trying different types of films, but his attempts have been unsuccessful. He started off well, and then played it safe with the Rahul/Raj roles until he could no longer milk it anymore, and now he's struggling. He could still carve out a new space for him, but the peak is definitely over.

But it's not just him, the pudgy Lallu bhai has been on the flop too, so there only so much beating of the dead horse one can do.

Peak in BW is diff from peak in even other Indian movie sectors because the focus is so much on youth and romance. If SRK stepped away from it and picked a decent script, there's a good chance he can change the trajectory, not just for himself but also for what it means to be the lead actor. The man still retains enough of a fanbase for it and has the talent. Whether he has the will is a diff matter.

I feel like if Aamir Khan's soul can possess SRK and he starts developing the same script sense as him, then there's a chance. I'm not sure if you watched the video, but some good points were raised. Despite trying different types of films, he still hasn't broken out of the Rahul/Raj character. It's almost like in all his recent films the directors are moulding their characters to fit his romantic image. That has to stop. Only then could there be some semblance of hope. I probably just sound like an optimistic fangirl, but I also believe he has the heart and dedication to continue working hard, especially if he starts learning from his past mistakes. 😊

I personally think SRK is over because there is very little for him to do. During his peak, he did do quite a variety of roles - negative, comedy, action etc.

He's played a don, a coach, someone with austism, a romantic hero, obsessed lover etc

He's done movies that are/about period dramas, sports films, extra martial affair, live-in relationships, etc

There is nothing left for him to do that I would be interested in or care for. Also - he was sooooooo overhyped in his prime that - now it is working against him.

He has done well for myself, and has left a legacy. But I want to see other actors rise now. If we are writing off senior actresses, then we can write off senior actors too!

I think all the "senior" actors will still play leads throughout this decade at least (3 Khan's, Akshay, Ajay). There is not much competition for them and there is no reason for them to retire or even go Amitabh's way of playing mostly side characters

Sadly with actresses its not like that although its changing slowly. Katrina has been in the industry for 20 years and is still going strong

Haters are also desperate, considering how you constantly try to make it seem if SRK's acting is the problem. Audience has changed but their standards are not higher in any way. Look at the most popular movies from the last few years and its all pretty dumb masala shit with no great performances.

Even with SRK's last few movies his performance has always been praised (his performance in Fan for an example is better than anything in Akshay's popular bhakt pandering movies) and was not the issue. People bashed the scripts instead.

I think doing an action movie now is smarter than doing movies like that. He tried to experiment in the last few years and looked for critical acclaim & it failed. So the best movie is to do a really great action movie with mass appeal, that's how he gets another Blockbuster which is what he wants
