For one, he is past the age to portray such silly characters. Audience ain't buying it any more.

For another... my God! The man has done a Swades and a Chak De. Those movies were not meant for mass market audience, but we got glimpses of SRK's talent.

If a good director comes up with a tight script, SRK will knock it out of the park. Disagree re: Shakun and Zoya, though. I'd Iike to see SRK in a meaty thriller like Andhadhun. Or an investigation thriller like Kahaani. A couple of hits like that, and one or two serious films in between.

@bold:Any actor could do those two films,Ranbir,Ranveer.Sid Malhotra did Shershah.SRK got knocked out of the park for decades.This overhype is reminiscent of Deepika and Kareena as actors.

SRK is Deepika/Bebo of actors.
