I flunked the chartered accountancy attempts--could not attempt the exact next session--cos well had A LOT of trouble funding for the first attempt itself. so had huge gaps between attempting papers. Then got an internship in a very very prestigious firm- purely by luck. (did not attempt as was working and lost the mojo to study but never accepted it) got promoted, slogged there for 3-4 years and then got into a HUGE company which pays me the same amount had i completed the papers. BUT, this failure haunts me--always as contemporaries will not have this hurdle to progress further but i will
