My issue is not with the said FL my issue is with the 19 year old girl who is subject to all this shit.. what are they trying to sell us in the name of drama!!
That since u don't have a social status come from a reasonable background you would be treated as a dirt with no backbone?
Or evry girl irrespective of the age should agree accept and digest the trash the pati parmeshwar throws at u.. be it in the form of a fiance /bestfriend or mother of the said husband's child..
Are wo khud bachi hai.. just calling her bachi for the sake of dialogue isn't enough.. remember how you used to be when u were 18 or 19?
This show had the base plot which was worse than the extramarital affair wala Silsila.. atleast they had it in them to tell the audience this is what they were intended to show
Yaha toh the kid had to accept the forced marriage
Then see through the husband's 2 marriage and his happiness as a MAID and then when she wished to leave she is lured back into the hellhole on the name of love... Endure evry torture on the name of adjustments and bare the other women whose sole purpose is to degrade her.. AREE WO BACHHI HAI!!
SORRY BUT NO AMOUNT OF REPENTANCE FROM ANY CHARACTER IS GOING TO CUT IT
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Totally agree with you. The whole premise of the story is sick, forced marriage of a young 18 year old who is aspiring to achieve great things in life to a man almost double her age. He is a jerk, brings her along and instead of divorcing her and setting her up in college as any decent man would instead heaps hate on the hapless girl. He keeps her in the house as a maid, marries another, supposedly his friend and love of umpteen years, makes a half hearted attempt to tell said friend the truth, but is too chicken and goes forward with the wedding happily. For some strange messed up reason, he falls in love with his first wife not realizing what he is doing is called bigamy (he should know the famed patrakar that he is), leaves his first love and now wife, and decides to ghar baaso with the 18 yr old, whom the rest of the family now considers a liar and a cheat and hates with all their might (barring two). Drama ensues, the young girl knowing no better, being raised to consider this unscrupulous man her pati parmeshwar tries her best to win the in-law crowd. Just as she is able to succeed in that totally senseless attempt, wife #2/love #1 is back in the house, the husband gets her pregnant albeit unknowingly, destroys evidence to show he was forced to do that, maligns his current wife, causes her to leave the house, does nothing to bring her back, tarnishes her reputation by publishing, yes publishing, in the newspaper about her badchalan behavior, agrees to marry the second wife all over again, after signing the divorce papers (finally and long overdue) with the first wife, the young girl. Then more drama happens, “shall I, shall I not marry”, “should I or should I not get back” with the young girl after all she will worship him and be a slave to the rest of the family for the rest of her life. In the meantime, he acts like an utter nincompoop, berating the young girl publicly at every opportunity he gets, keeps mum at every taunt and unrealistic thaane his saasu ma is hurling at the young girl and when another young man comes to the young girl’s rescue because the second young man like us the viewers cannot comprehend the rascality of saasu ma and the cowardice of the T family in allowing this young girl to be humiliated and mentally tortured at every turn by this bully of a woman, the patrakar goes into frenzied jealousy and makes inappropriate public accusations at the young girl. Comes to his senses temporarily that he is wronging the second wife/first love and refuses to marry her. Runs off to find first wife/second love/young girl shamelessly abandoning his wife to be at the mantap. The young girl doesn’t show and in a fit of ill-placed masculinity, churlishness, and spite hurries back to the mantap to wed second wife/first love but uglily calls out first wife’s name. Is that supposed to be anguished love? Appeared to be total lack of self control and decency and a childish tantrum, ill fitting a man of his age and stature (work wise). Pathetic.
Wish Imlie moves on without a backward glance at this backward thinking, limiting family and selfish man, and goes forward to establish her own life and achieve her dreams that were smashed by this man when he brought her home and kept her in servitude. If Imlie finds love with Aryan, good, so long as he treats her with respect and gives her room to spread her wings, a right that is her own, not to be granted by any man foolish enough to think he can curtail any woman.
