Okay spare me some patience. I have a lot of feelings about this topic.

I don't know about everyone else, but in YRKKH, no family, and I mean no family, has ever been able to portray a healthy dynamic between the parents and their two children. For Rajshri and Vish it was clear that their favorite was Akshara. I mean they overcompensated for the female child thing by showing Akshara as the center of their whole universe. I mean Rajshri was depressed about Akshara's alliance breaking at her son's actual wedding. If Akshara got a paper cut she would scream meri bachi and run all the way to the Singhanias' place. Remember when she tried to hide in Akshara's room when she was in labour with Naksh? Like what kind of obsessive behaviour is that? As for the Singhanias, their world revolved around Naitik. I know Gayatri tried to give importance to Rashmi, but somehow, she did at the expense of Nandini and all in all it still left a sour taste in my mouth. And yes, her constant attempts to infantalize her Munna. Why do Indian mothers marry off their sons when they have such a huge issue with their daughters-in-law getting attention from their (saas, not the bahu) precious sons?

And Naitik and Akshara. I am not sure if I am right for feeling this way, but I always felt that Akshara had a clear favourite which was Naksh and Naitik's was Naira. So there is a balance right? Nope, once Naira went missing I am pretty sure nobody in the house thought twice about Naksh. And after Akshara went missing, well, Naksh kaun, it was all about Naira's marital problems, Naira being depressed because her husband stole her brother's kid (I mean who cares about the brother's trauma right?)

Kairav is the biggest victim. He was kept away from his dad by his mother for no good reason. Once they were united, the kid had no stable family dynamics (with disappearing sisters, shifting from Udaipur to Mumbai). Once he lost his mom his grandfather wanted to send him to boarding school because of the aashiq Karthik Goenka who was able to move on super quickly after that. Okay, I don't even want to get into the Sirat being Naira crap because what even was that. Finally, in the midst of his father's parishram to create a cricket team of kids he had two sisters and was happy. But nope, he was sent away to boarding school (was it boarding school or university, a bit unsure of his age). Then he loses Karthik and Sirat and had to adopt a fatherly role to his two sisters at an age at which he should have been partying and living the carefree life.

Now, the saga culminates in the story of Akshara. Apart from crying for their darling Akshu they don't do anything to contain the vileness of Aarohi but to say chup Aarohi once in a while. And once Akshu came back to the house after so long, they don't even want to let her be with them for a while and rush to get her engaged.

No family dynamic in the show is stable. Honestly, sorry I am not going to reread what I wrote because it is probably a pile of illogical incoherent nonsense. But seriously, these families need to go for family therapy ASAP.

tldr: I agree with you. Akshara as the older sibling is becoming the bali ka bakra. Abhimanyu please save her from the idiocy that is the Goenka parivar.

Sadly, it's reality Middle child are the ones who suffer the most. Kairav did suffer too when he had to be away from his father for 5 years and then later he lost his mother. But he had people who love him, Akshu on the other hand has to tolerate bullying & harassment all her life thanks to Sirat and Kartik devil child.
