There was a webseries on same topic last year called 'Pati Patni Aur Panga' last year. I never bothered to watch it because its trailer was hideous and too loud.

I personally think loud comedy films are not a right way to introduce/educate people in India on taboo topics like this, especially at a time when LGBT+ people are still struggling for their rights.

These kind of films tend to do more damage than do anything good because the audience doesn't care about the overall message and the so-called jokes in these films become the biggest and only takeaways for the audience.🤔

Just to be clear, I'm not cancelling this one😆 because it has Ayushmaan.👍🏼

The ultimate messaging of his films is always good, so I will watch it for sure.

I am not saying Bollywood should made dark, tragic films on these topics but a little sensitivity would be good.

It's quite a coincidence that I watched "A Monsson Date" (short-film) the other night, which is on the same topic. And it nearly had me in tears. What made it better is that it was actually written by a talented writer, who also happens to be a Transwoman.

At first I was very confused about what it’s about and what’s the plot? But once I got to know the plot that it’s about gender identity/fluidity it makes so much sense. But why are they shying to portray this openly in the trailer? People might get confused, and think it’s just a regular romcom. I do applaud Ayushmann’s film choices from addressing sperm donation, homosexuality, old age pregnancy and now gender indentity, he is your go to guy for films on social stigmas. I wished they also address toxic masculinity in this movie coz that’s also slightly hinted at. I’m always game for such movies, I just wish they are more bold and confident in presenting it.
