He is the only person who actually accepted anu not his daughter in law but his daughter.

I agree with you to an extent! But if a man claims that he is your father and you are his daughter. Then he will vocally support Anupama when the rest of the shah circus viciously targets hers every single day. Shah family is a typical patriarchial to family where bapuji is at the top of the hierarchy he could have used that and stop the nonsensical venom his wife and son spew on a daily basis. He could not pass on his progressive views into his son unfortunately but he could actively stop them. But he doesn't do anything. I can't blame him cause that's the writers fault at this point. However, I agree with you, admist all of the idiots Shah family have Bapuji, Samar and Kinjal are like breath of fresh air!

Hard disagree. Bapuji isn't as bad as his wife, but he's far from an inspirational father.

Anu's strength comes from within herself. At best, Bapuji only sometimes neutralizes his wife's venom.

Anuj could predict that drama awaits Anu back home, but Bapuji couldn't? No way. He just wanted to get away from the argument. And if he were at home, Anu ONCE AGAIN couldn't have left this hellhouse. A good father doesn't emotionally manipulate you to tie you to a toxic environment for selfish reasons.

I hinestly thought the post was made in sarcasm but oh well, need I say I disagree.

Bapuji for me has been nothing but selfish...yeah he always had Anu’s best intentions at heart but thats not what she needs.

She would have been in a much better place had he ket her go and make a life of her own instead of tying her down to the burdens of a regressive and conflicting family.

I wish he did better cause he is a good man with poor logic.
