Part 1:

...with a sinking feeling and a heavy heart she wearily boarded the flight...and was courteously ushered to the plush first class cabin of the airplane...buckling her seat belt she pulled the window shade down and braced herself for the long haul flight..

staring at the dark silence in the cabin, as the aircraft was taxiing for take off her eyes brimmed with nostalgia as she recollected memories of the very first time she experienced the joy of flying...with him.

soon she avidly started recalling all their firsts, every moment as vivid as could be...she smiled from the corner of the eye thinking of their first eyelock, the one that gave her butterflies, his piercing gaze that melted her insides...the first time they held hands on the beach, with the warm sand caressing their feet and the waves playing havoc as were their emotions...and the first time they hugged...with all their heart and soul.

embarrassed and flushed she broke out of her reverie and turned up the air-con to cool herself down....she couldn’t believe how he still managed to have that effect on her and not much had changed in all these years...

“tum thik ho na?” she asked rhetorically and he nodded trying to get a grip on himself.

“ aur woh kaisi hai?” almost choking on her tears she asked and hung up when he whispered a painful “pata nahi”

her eyes felt warm and burdened and the nagging fear wouldn't let her sleep..tossing and turning in her seat she tried to kill time but failed miserably....after all her futile efforts to get some much needed rest she gave up trying and pulled out her diary and glasses from her handbag..

speaking to him wasn't an option any more so she decided to pen down her emotions like she had been doing for the past seven years...
