Rahul Eashwar confuses me. On one hand he glorifies Savarkar and on the other he praises BYJUS for standing up to hate speech. Pick a lane !
I only know Rahul Eashwar from his Sabarimala debates 🥱
Never paid attention to him after that.

IMO, Bollywood celebs become powerful either by showing support openly to a governing political party or by making huge donations to parties, so if anyone is powerful in Bollywood it is because they did one of the above mentioned things.
Also, grudge on not donating the expected money is real. There is one incident happened in my hometown. When my father, who is a elected member of one of the NGO along with his colleagues approached one of the leading glass businessman and requested donation, the businessman was like you can quote any amount, I will donate it without arguing. The answer surprised my father and when he asked the reason, the businessman explained one of his recent experience. Apparently few party members approached them with the expectation of huge donations and when they didn't get the expected amount, they didn't allow materials to be unloaded with the help of labourers. Later the businessman unloaded it with the help of inexperienced people which resulted in breaking the glass materials.
Also when one of my aunt gave 2000 Rs instead of 10000 rupees on ganesh utsav related activities. They threatened her to interrupt the ongoing house construction but luckily for her, the governing(state) party union members supported her.
Wow that's extortion . And 10000 for the Ganesh festival? !!! Did they threaten her openly or was it a veiled threat ?
I had a similar experience with CITU workers years ago when we moved to the other place . A lot of them are wonderful hardworking men . But the bad eggs are really bad. It wasn't a donation ,they demanded insane wages, but the party would have gotten involved on their behalf in case things escalated . They wanted 8000 when the standard rate was 3000. We were moving to this place that had no parking space so the truck was parked in public space and you had to take the stuff right into the stairway after unloading. Since it wasn't parked in private property they had a 'right ' to do it and prevent anybody else from doing it. Unless we did it ourselves. Tried to negotiate first upto 5 k but they wouldn't . Finally we decided to do it ourselves. Mum and I looked delicate and girly so they didn't expect us to haul heavy furniture in. Took us hours but we did it and ALL that while they stood there smoking and staring. They looked sheepish when we were done . Made my backpain worse but it was worth it. Since then they've been very respectful. I have neighbours here in the new place, who are scared of them. Two dozen of them gather out of nowhere...it's very intimidating.
Your Paro running down the long hallway to meet devdas dream got mixed up with mine. But I’m not punching anyone on the way. I’m hitting everyone with a cricket bat 😂 🤦🏼♀️

It's hard to listen to him even when he's being reasonable. Screams like he's talking to deaf people
