1) How many members are currently working in Shah household?

As far as I remember it is only Anupama and Toshu now... isn't it?

Bapuji&Mamaji&Baa- unemployed forever

Vanraj- unemployed for more than a year

Kavya- unemployed

Kinjal- unemployed

Pakhi- Can not work even part-time(as it is India)

Samar-quite wasted

Anupama's income is meager compared to Vanraj's corporate salary. Now that she is working with Anuj, the situation might change. I don't think Toshu supports the family nowadays.. He and Kinjal did manage the resort expenses of the whole family and short term medical expense of Anupama.

But nowadays he declared himself distant from his house.. so I don't think he helps Anupama with the household...

It must be super difficult to manage these expenses.. but Hats off to Vanraj.. he managed these expenses all alone before... no one was there to support him then..

No wonder Baa pampered him so much. He was the only source of income before. I assume after Bapuji retired he had to shoulder the whole household by himself. He must have really worked hard to make his family reach there. All the 3 kids went to international(?) schools. Baa bapuji health expenses were always covered. A house with at least more than 5 rooms.. A car.. a bike.. and not to mention their constant maintenance expenses.. He must have worked his fingers to the bone.

I have seen many people in the forum advocate that Vanraj providing food and clothing was not the only purpose, he should have been there for his kids emotionally. Which I agree.. totally..

But providing all the basic need and fulfilling their needs is quite hard when you are the only person who is the provider. That amount of dedication is also something to be praised.

Both Anupama and Vanraj sacrificed a lot for more than 25 years.. And Anupama understands Vanraj's contribution... alas but Vanraj can not see it.

The irony is that in both of their struggles to be better providers for the family, the both failed to raise their children as better humans.

It has been a real ardous life for Vanraj and he vented his frustrations on Anupama and Samar. For 9 years he has also had to pamper Kavya who is high maintenance. He had perks like 5 lakh bonus that must have enabled them to each contribute in different ways for them to live well.

Maybe one of the reasons the Shahs are reluctant to let go of Anupama as Their new bahu is useless from the way Pakhis friends dinner was managed.

Anupama mention of Kinjals big meeting. I guess Dholakia was ousted. Kinjal maybe continuing to work.

They have also been supporting Mama buddy. I guess Anupama ended up learning new dishes and efficiently managed the 🏠. Baa holds the purse strings and when there was a discussion on managing expenses each of them were asked to contribute I think 20 percent of their earnings.

It is indeed an onus to maintain an establishment like theirs. From hints we know meenu also spends considerable time in Shah House.

Kinjal is not unemployed she is working , Toshu moved out after hearing 40 lakhs loan . House currently running on cafe , dance academy maybe Kinjal or Toshu contribute 2 .

In one of episode I guess shivratri vanraj told how much he had done for this family he told Bapuji's income was not much as they use to live in one room house but it was he who made that one room house in double storey by his hard work .

Anu told Kinjal how vanraj used to work on festivals also so yes vanraj really worked hard & was on a big position definitely his package would be 20-25 lakhs .

Anu had always respected & acknowledged vanraj's effort but vanraj never cared enough to even acknowledge her efforts forget to praise her & Toshu-pakhi had learned this from him , one thing is sure vanraj know any is very talented

Vanraj can work properly coz anu was very well managing d house & expenses.

Bold : what happened that day , did kavya did any blunder ?

Kavya was training Paakhi for the dance competition. She returned from school with friends and kavya ordered food from Vanrajs cafe and had a bite or sip and wasted the rest. No payment was made too so anupama blasted Paakhi for being irresponsible and Vanya defended Paakhi.

It kind of turned Paakhi against Anupama till Kavya ditched Paakhi and later anupama stepped in to salvage the dance competition.

I m deviating from the topic, Anu and kinjal r working, vanraj's cafe being new , he must not be contributing financially , whatever was going fine was bcz of anupama's involvement and now she's thrown out of the cafe and these two do all the household chores too? Kavya is sitting ideally, how does she contribute in the house? Neither financially nor helping with the household chores and why can baa not help in kitchen? Is there anything about this shown previously in any episode?

Baa has pain in her knees all she does is dress up, sit on the swing with -er binoculars and taunt other women.

What kavya does well is dress up and instigate people against Anupama ans say nasty things to her. earlier she claimed Anupamas food was greasy and Vanraj should eat healthy food. Even making salads and soups require effort and madam has no time for such things.

Baa was shown making modaks along with Kavya.

Bapuji ki pension, dance academy, kinjal toshu and little money Samar contributions..remember when kavya asked for house hold expenses? Kinjal toshu give 20 20 % Samar have partime income so he pay half..so major responsibility anu ke sar pe..
