Im sorry but admitting yes i did bad films and working on reinventing yourself is more courageous than saying i dont cater to intellectuals shows hes so egoistic - learn, adapt and change - your audience is no longer of 90s!

Maybe it's "typical" Salman to tell people what he isn't doing (in this case catering to interllectuels)...I wonder if - in his eyes - being "intellectuel" is a hindrance to watch/enjoy his movies???

I for myself don't watch movies with the reason to caress my "intellect"...nevertheless I like it when there is some intelligence in the story ;-)
