I haven't read much about the discussions here, but this is exactly what I was talking about in EDT too! Right from the childhood scenes till date, Shiva is the most loved characters by the makers too. He has the maximum screen space with every character. The way he is loved by all the characters is so good. In fact in all The dance sequences, too, Shiva has always been at the centre with either Dhara or Raavi.

Whatever the offscreen drama happens, the PH has given him the dream role and gives him many shades and layers. They still give him the maximum screen space amongst all the male cast.

It's a competitive landscape in the real-life entertainment industry, and the love that Shiva has garnered for KD is something he cherishes too.

Even great actors from TV struggle to get work, so I firmly believe that KD has hit the jackpot with this role.

If we see, Shiva Dhara gets good screen space too!
The PH has been excellent with his character and screen space!

I don’t blame Akshay for sharing, I blame the fans for making his edits and giving him Bhaav and thinks he is a combination of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Keanu and Tom Cruise who thinks he needs to be in People Magazine’s top 50 sexiest Men in the world.

But the above mentioned hotties are great actors as well, I make it a point to watch all their movies but can’t say the same thing about Akshay

P.S: My husband knows I call them hotties and had a crush on all 4 of them growing up in the 90s and never would miss their movies😆

I agree with this Piu.

We may like or dislike the story, but shiva is not ignored as a character by the makers.in fact they give him maximum screenspace, dlgs, emotional scenes, fight sequences.KD has hit the jackpot with this role as he gets to perform as an actor.

Infact he is given importance in tracks that doesn't even concern him.

Now that you have mentioned about the dance sequences, he is indeed the centre of attraction.

You didn’t know? I have flaunted my husband’s cooking skills in the EDT several times😆 He is making Thai curry with Jasmine rice for lunch today. Any world cuisine you name it, he will make it and will find a way to make it vegetarian as we are one😆

KD was asked in an interview that if he felt unsure for playing shiva as its an ensemble cast and there were chances that his character would be overshadowed.

He had replied that he was looking for a powerful role as it was his comeback show after a long break.the makers had assured him that shiva was an integral character of the show.he saw the og version too and realised how important and loved his character is.

I think the makers are pretty clear that it's an ensemble cast.i have read somewhere that kinshuk and KD are paid the same.

Though I am not sure if Alice is paid the same as shiny.

@Bold: She won't be paid same. & Honestly it doesn't even makes sense.

Shiny and Kanwar being highest paid actors of the show makes sense as they r in almost every scene.

Kinshuk being a bit senior would be getting paid more I don't know if same as Kanwar or not but Alice definetly would be paid less. As she is rarely there and there is not much for her to say.

Kanwar even correct Gossips on Twitter recently when he tagged him as supporting.

So I feel he only needs to talk with makers about his stand. Makers haven't cleared it out that Kanwar too is a lead that's why no one is tagging as a lead.
