Sai argues with Virat that while he was quick to apply ice to Pakhi's hands, he waited to go to the drugstore to apply ice pack on her (Sai). But as Virat himself pointed out, he did infact offer to apply ice immediately, but in her anger Sai refused. At this Sai reacts irritated. 🤣I'm telling you Sai bai has lot of expectations from her pati. May be she has a very romanticised version of love - afterall she is a teenager.

Virat is another confusion. It looked like he is going through with his "sirf pati dharm nibhaunga" vow he made to Sunny in the hospital. When he expressed to Sai that he wanted a real marriage, Sai responded with saying that everything will not happen according to his whims, and that her wish is important too. So Virat is probably giving her space....wishing she will realize his love.

So jalebi pati patni will blissfully spend their entire life in this status quo - rather than do some straight talking.

Edit: As for informing Pakhi about the trip. I'm divided. Sai is probably wary of another drama like in the Ladakh trip. But Virat should have been more forthright in telling her clearly that Pakhi is not important. Especially since Sai knows of Virakhi past and that Sai feels bad when Virat talks to Pakhi.

@Bold: Exactly! I brought up this same point during the college festival fight and the ring gifting too. She purposefully phrases her questions in a way that center around the zimidari, hoping that Virat will counter her and say that this marriage is real. But bechara is so scared of losing her and her reaction, that he always takes the easy or safe way out. In terms of what Virat said at the hospital, I actually have a slightly different take. When Virat says he wants this marriage to be real, Sai answers that what she wants should matter too. She is entirely vulnerable in that moment... she does not have her usual walls around her. She does not deny that she doesn't want the same thing...rather, she says that she won't go home with him. To me, this seemed like an indirect acceptance. However, she was in no state to truly take in the significance of that moment, hence why it has not affected her understanding nor her perception of their relationship in the long-run.

P.S.- this is exactly like the chilly grinding incident in my opinion as well!! Sai has been attached to Virat since the very beginning, and she has always wanted to be more than a zimidari to him. And, a part of her has always known that Virat treats her like a wife and a partner, not just some responsibility...hence her constant confusion and inability to understand him. She needs affirmation from him... she needs to hear all of this from his mouth. You know, I am always reminded of the pool fight whenever she tries to get Virat to blurt out his true feelings. All the moments leading up to the fight, she felt the reality of their relationship, but in that one moment, it was all shattered. She felt as though she had imagined it all. SaiRat have progressed a lot since then, but to me, the crux of Sai's behavior remains the same. A part of her just wants to make sure that she isn't imagining all of this, and the only way for this to happen is for Virat to tell her.

I just went back and added something to my response!

I completely agree that he takes Sai's words too literally. My understanding from today's episode and the precap, though, was that he is now planning on confessing on their trip. I think that in the hospital, he did not feel worthy to be her husband, and he was scared that if he declared his love, Sai would reject it due to how deeply he hurt her. He did not want to risk her going home with Pulkit either. So, all of these emotions together led him to make the decision to not confess and just let Sai read his actions instead. But, now that things have settled, he is ready to try again...
