Like you mentioned, most of my problems are coming with the CVs themselves. Individually, I don't mind watching storylines where characters sell jewelry to fund a cause, or characters who have a strong sense of self-doubt, or characters wishing to be uncles and aunts. In fact, a lot of the mistakes that the PS characters made, I've made at some point of time...

But, what I do have a problem with is how the CVs/set technicians are handling all of these tracks... After showing us the importance of the jewelry, I would've expected Suman to be wearing the bangles as often as Prafulla was shown to wear them. After showing us the build-up of ShiVi's track, I would've expected to see progression in Shiva's thinking. I don't mind self-doubt, but when we get repeated scenes of "I smell like masalas and you don't like that smell" I get tired. I want to see character growth... not character stagnancy... Even DevTa's relationship... CVs should be building on Rishita's emotions, we should be seeing Rishita calling her sister, we should be seeing secret meet ups between Rishita and her mother, we should be seeing how Dev consoles her because a girl who has no access to her family is very heartbreaking

Just as you mentioned, if I was in Anita's place, I would walk away from the marriage with Gaumbi as well. It would be stressful to take care of 3 children, a disabled mother in law, and have a shop set up in debt. You have to be extremely strong to face that, and I don't think Anita was as she was just a child back then.

As for GauRa's children... I would've loved to see a scene of GauRa wanting children themselves, not because the town shamed them for not having any. The other day, I spoke to my roommate about children. We talked about what the appropriate age would be to have our first child... which included when we felt we would be professionally well settled, when we would be of good financial standing, when we felt as though we were emotionally ready. These are all important questions since there's nothing more devastating than having a child who is not wanted...

The entire writing and editing is terrible. It is so painful to watch. Everything is so disconnected 😔

I hate to be mean, but even TRP dramas are better shot than this. Yes they do have dhoom thana nana, but I have seen Kekta shows with multiple couples- please, the shows that ran 8+ years always had the main couple but they would handle different tracks for brother-sisters, then kids then grandkids too 🤣 I simply refuse to believe that it is difficult to handle multiple couples- I have seen it being done so many times before 😕

I think the biggest sin of PS is editing. If I were allowed, I would ban 30s/1 min scenes- every scene should be a unit if 5-8 minutes. NO going back and forth.

For example, last episode, entire ShiVi conversation could be one block, and the outside events- kids running, GauRa taunting could be one block. Don't even bother showing the ShiVi/DevTa scene if both the start and end of the conversation is not in the same block.

I am back with my original prediction. I feel PS days are numbered 😐 I was going to enjoy it while it lasted, but makers are making even that hard to do.

Having said PS days are numbered, I wonder what if the TRP actually ends up increasing 🤣

I never know about TRP audience. They might not care about editing and whatnot.

What if they actually like this endless celebration mode in PS ?🤣 Logic has clearly never been an indicator for TRP. What if the TRP audience actually liked the last few episodes 🤪

As long as it is the slot leader, I don't think Star Plus cares. All the shows that are in the danger zone aren't slot leaders which is why they are going away...

I agree. Plus I heard MHRW received 5 month extension despite having lower trps than us. Although, I don’t know if they are in a prime slot. Tbh, I would prefer if PS gets 6 months to properly tell its story and then goes off air. I don’t want it to run for years and years, esp if recent episodes are any indication of what’s to come.

I definitely don't want it to drag like yrkkh. But I want Good 3 or so years. Where can see growth and all for all characters. I don't want it to have leaps after leaps after leaps.

I feel like after 2 years or so most shows go for leaps or revamps 😆

I don’t know about the growth… no matter how long it runs, if they keep going like this there will be no growth and development 😒😆

Isn't OG like 3yrs. I just want them to lift and execute tracks similar to that or focus on family stuff sensibly. But I guess it's too much to expect for ITV.

Agreed! With the ensemble cast, there is a lot of storylines left to uncover including:

1. Dhara's mother, Dhara's pregnancy, Dhara managing the household with a child,

2. ShiVi's romance, Shiva's acceptance of Maami and Maama, potential to feature Raavi's extended family (could have a scene where ShiVi leave Somnath to visit the extended family), perhaps a storyline of ShiVi's pregnancy + kids (though I would be fine without it)

3. Rishita being accepted by her family, Dev being properly accepted by Janardhan, Rishita's relationship with Keerthi and potentially having Rishita be in charge of her sister's wedding, and again a potential DevTa pregnancy + kids (but again I would be fine without)

4. Krish's college, Krish's love story as well as his equation with his new bhabis

5. Suman and her relationship with Dhara (knowing when to allow Dhara to take reigns and when she should be taking the reigns), Suman and her relationship with the other daughters in law

6. Anita (since it seems she's a major character arc) and her redemption, her romance with Hardik since they seem end-game

I think 2-3 years with appropriate pacing could cover all these storylines since the focus could keep shifting.

Yup. The OG has 650+ episodes and counting.. but it has been slow with executing tracks. PS has mixed up multiple OG tracks and has already covered about 1 year of content in 6 months 😆
