Tbh we end up speaking more Hindustani.

Hindi is a direct descendant of Vedic Sanskrit and is written in Devanagri script. The Persianised version of Old Hindi with Arabic and Persian words, written in Perso-Arabic script is Urdu.

Both languages have their roots in Awadh and are linguistically understandable by speakers of either languages.

I wish I could understand the hindi writing I guess same is the case with someone who don't know how to write urdu

Yeah its frustrating for me when I watch Pakistani shows coz I cannot understand what's written 😆

Other than that, as long as I can understand the language...that feels good.

Don't drag me, but I am sorry I don't really understand Urdu 😵.

For instance I used to think Alfaz and Ali Fazal are two different people, only later did I learn one is a word while other is a name😎.

Similarly I used to think Tashrif was a nice word because everybody used to say 'Rakhiye Rakhiye' but it is not.

Bollywood movies should use language that people use and understand. Who talks like that 😛? This might be one of the reason why younger ppl stay away from bollywood and Bollywood is losing ground to movies in other languages and hollywood movies🤢. They should follow the example of TV shows where they use language people use in daily life 👍🏼

The words like tashreef are formal. No one uses them in Pakistan unless it’s someone who’s being formal. Another thing is that in BW movies and shows all the Muslims and Pakistanis are saying nikaah instead of shaadi which again is not true. Nikaah is a formality not shadi itself lmao
