Giving a party or not could have been kept as a surprise. I always believe that there is no point in thinking or planning things like this based on what we feel, we should instead do what the other person wants or what would make them happy. Keeping a person disappointed the whole day just to surprise is not needed. We would want to surprise them but whose birthday is it and what do they want should be kept ahead of every other thought.

Just one thing, Aai and Virat weren’t taking her for granted. It is just that their idea was stupid or they got carried over their idea to surprise her without thinking that the best surprise would be to make her feel that they haven’t forgotten her birthday, that they remember it. Wishing a person at midnight or not depends on whether the person would be awake or not. I know who would be awake and who would love for me to wish them during midnight and I wish them at midnight. Sai was awake and he could also see her waiting to be wished, he could have just wished her.

One thing that looked very stupid was that Virat saw Sai waiting for him to wish, then trying to wake him up and also removing her Aabas photo. He could have tried to understand that she would have felt lonely and would have felt bad that no one wished her, that he didn’t remember her birthday and that’s why she took out her Dad’s photo after trying to wake him up.

Best birthday gift for Sai would have been for him to wish her when she was waiting to be wished, for Aai to wish her in the morning, for him to take her to the temple and Aai feeding her a sweet dish before they started to the temple, pretending that she made it because of some other reason like Kaku wanting to eat or something.

I really hope Ashwini makes her favourite modak, there could be no better gift for Sai than that.

It’s a temporary feeling and she would feel loved , special when she knows what Virat had planned so I don’t think it’s a stupid idea . If she hates it she will definitely convey it so from next year Virat can do what she likes it .

This is the first birthday so he did what he thought would make her happy . He didn’t have to take off to do this and beg his family members to cooperate . He could have just wished her and resumed his daily activities but the fact that he choose to make it special for her shows how much he loves her

was thinking the exact same thing. Wishing her and then surprising her with a party would have been a bonus but come on, no one likes not being wished the whole day on their birthday. that's just sad.

No I didn't feel it was stupid. He pretended for whole day only to make it more special. Its actually degree of showing love and how special she is for the other one. I know from my personal experience the day actually turn out to be a great one.

Virat was fighting with his inner turmoil. This is her first birthday with him so the moment should be shared between the two only. If I am not wrong he wanted to be the first person to wish her. But I wonder how he was holding himself when Sai was crying with Aabas photo.
