Chapter 1 :The Last Letter

Dear Fateh,

By the time you be reading this letter, I will be thousand of miles away from you. Now, you may be thinking why didn't I tell you earlier as best friends keep no secret.

Well, to answer this , it was not a sudden, but a well thought decision. I know you as my friend that you are a very good human, jo than le woh karke rehta hai. A strong will man , who makes me and his family proud everyday. I have seen you how much you loved Jasmine.

It all happened in front of my eyes. And the day she left you at altar for her dreams how deeply broken your soul was. We both got married against our wishes to uphold the honor of our families.

But, I knew it was not easy for you. Hence, I everyday asked you to move on. And see! you have moved on, away from all the bad memories.

However, it does not change the truth that I was an uninvited guest in your life as well as in your family. I just wanted you to be happy, my friend.

We both are married for outer world. But both of us know how much hollow our relationship is. We have always supported each other as a friend and will continue to do so in future too.

Alas, but I cannot continue with the husband wife drama for long now. To love someone , is to set him free.

I decided to set you free, to pursue your dreams, to live a life the way you like, share and fall in love with the girl you want.

I have signed the annulment papers too, which will declare our marriage null and void. Hope, you respect the decision I have taken.

Fateh just read the letter that was kept in Tejo's almirah drawer. His eyes were shocked😲 , unable to believe what he just read. He was unable to understand why did Tejo do this, where things went wrong. 👍🏼

Just then Abhiraj called him asking " Kuch pata chala Tejo ka". He said " haan, meet me in 10 mins at mitra dhaba. I need to discuss with you something"

Fateh showed him the letter, devastated Abhiraj scratched his head " Why Tejo, why you have to do this all the time?". As tears fell from his eyes, Fateh hugged him and asked " ab bata kya hua hai". He replied " you know Tejo, my sister bahut swabhimani, khudaar ladki hai woh. She can sacrifice herself for her the people she loves. This time too she did the same. Just to see you happy she has made this sacrifice".🥺 Fateh was confused 😔" what sacrifice, and where has she gone". Abhiraj answered " Toronto University. I know . Before you got married her application was accepted as a research scholar. Since, she loved her country more she wanted to pursue her dreams here only. But fate had something else in store . You both got married. And see, now she cannot be bound in this fake relationship. Tejo knows how much you loved Jasmine and probably still do.How can she be a burden on you or the person she loves. That's why she left"

Fateh was listening each and every word he said. "Toronto University " he replied. I know what I need to do now. Visa application will take 10-15 days to be accepted. Let me see.

He started his orange bike recollecting " how can she be a burden on the man she loves" . As he reached his house, all elders of family were standing with same question "where is Tejo ?". He looked silently at their faces and handed the last letter to Gurpreet. She read the letter loud , remorsing herself. How could she be so wrong about Tejo. It was the first time she understood how selfless her daughter in law was.

She went near her son and asked " ab kaise layega tu meri bahu ko". Fateh smiled back and said " ab yehi last letter leke aayega apki bahu ko"😳

This was interesting. I want to see what Fateh does to get Tejo back. I can't wait for the next part!

Chapter 2

Humara Ghar

As Fateh was walking towards his room, trying to figure out what to do next. He heard Amrik on call with Jasmine. He said " oh bhabhi, ab aapka rasta saaf hai. Tejo toh sab chod ke chali gayi Canada. Now, its the right time to approach my bro". After hearing this an elated Jasmine jumped on the floor with " yes yes . ab mujhe Fateh ko paane se koi nahi rok sakta"

As, Fateh heard it out, he understood, it was Amrik who worked as an informer of Chameli and it was best not to disclose his plans now to anyone in the family.😔

He wanted to share his pain, and the only friend he was left with is Buzzo. He started his bike to reach their hotspot in the feilds. A whole neat whisky bottle was gutted down by Fateh as Buzzo looked at him silently suffer.

Buzzo kept his hand on Fateh shoulder and said " bahut pyaar karta hai naa Tejo bhabhi se". Fateh hugged him back and cried. He replied " bahut pyaar karta hoon yaar. Par is baat ka ehsaas tab ho raha hai jab woh mujhe chod ke chali gayi. Aisa mera saath hi kyun. Whom ever I love leaves me? Why? Why?"🥺

As he calmed down , Buzzo replied " because Tejo bhabhi loves you too". Fateh eyes were enlightend after hearing those words from someone else. He continued " yes veere. you are the first person she fell in love with. usko pata tha ki tu kabhi usse wife ki tarah pyaar nahi karega. kyunki tum dono toh abhi tak sirf dost the. woh apne aap ko aur kitni taklif deti. Insaan hai woh bhi. Jab se tum logo ki shaadi hui hai. woh teri family aur tujhe sambhal rahi thi. uski feeling's, uske jazbat uske baare mein toh kise ne socha bhi nahi. "😲

" uninvited guest ko apne ghar ek na ek din jana hi hota hai. Jasmine ke hote hue woh apne ghar bhi nahi jaa sakti tho. isliye shayad woh Canada mein hi apna ghar banayengi teri yaadon ke saath"🤔

Fateh was happy with whatever his friend said. He needed a word of advice, and Buzzo put everything in right way.

He asked " Fateh ab tu kya karega. yahan toh family mein hi vibhishaan hai"🤔

Fateh smiled and said " tu chinta na kar ab mein hi sab thik karunga. par kya, kaise yeh kisi ko hawa bhi nahi lagegi"😳

Both the friend smiled and bid adeiu before calling it night.

As Fateh entered back Virk' s house he saw broken Mahi looking at her doll house. She turned back to say " humara ghar tut gaya bhaiya. ab isse kaun thik karega"😭

A flashback ran in his mind, when by mistake this same doll house was broken and Tejo said " humara ghar tut gaya Fateh". That time too she was injured , this time too. Last time also he repaired the house, while nursing her. And probably this time too.

Fateh smiled and said " Last time bhi isse maine hi joda tha, is baar bhi mein hi sab thik karunga".👍🏼

This was such a lovely read.

I liked how you portrayed tejo here, who can do everything for her family but still had the guts to never sacrifice her self respect.

And buzzo and mahi are just love😳..
