Who are these people?, How do they manage to deliver such emotionally loaded and heartwarming episodes every single day without any OTT drama and with such simplicity? I feel the joy, the happiness, the excitement and the love between characters as if I was present there. I have never experienced this ever before in ITV.
Marriage is meant to be an undying bond of love and trust between two lives, two hearts and two souls. I wondered as I watched the episode, when did the purity of that bond became dependent on class, money and ego/zid of families/elders in real life. I am not sure what Tej was thinking but any fool can see the strength of bond that the couple has. Did he really think that something as simple as preponement of exam can break this bond? And let us assume he managed to pull it off, it would leave Shaurya broken beyond repair. What did he intend to do with a broken Shaurya? What I also found immensely cruel was that he put Shaurya on the same crossroads as he was with Shagun before, If Anokhi (and we know that is what she would have picked) had picked her career over Shaurya and this would have been old Shaurya, he would have seen the replay of his engagement with Shagun. What would have that done to old feeling like charity case Shaurya psychologically?
I loved how strongly Shaurya supported Anokhi but what I loved more is that he did not make it about Anokhi but about SAIC and inconvenience of students in general. He is truly deserving of running this famous institute with how fair and compassionate he is to every student. I also loved how proudly he told everyone that Anokhi made it to exam. He knew Tej's game and he subtly expressed his discontent and anger without humiliating BM. This is where he differs from Shaan. He does not mince words and he never gives up but he does not do it in way that would burn bridges.
His moving the venue to make the mahurat was expected. I wonder how he managed to pull it all off so quickly and how did BM/BP not create any issues with it. The discussion about exam on pheras and his moving seamlessly between his role as professor to husband was very well done. I also loved that sindur falling on nose remained their private secret and Anokhi felt reassured of his love when it happened. Loved that he asked before putting mangalsutra almost as if teasing Anokhi. Also never heard about who sits first on mandap after pheras gets to rule the roost but it was sweet of Shaurya to allow Anokhi to sit first.
Now for things that did not make sense to me and I did not like-if the decision to change the date was made days ago when Shaurya had gone to Patiala, why did the management wait until last minute to inform the students and other members of the board. I have never seen anything like this in real life.
How did Shaurya manage to pull off all these decorations and arrangement in SAIC in such short time. I know being insanely rich helps but still and how did Tejvi agree to it unless he started planning for it the moment Anokhi left for her exam.
I am surprised that despite the rumor that ran wild in the college about Anokhi and Shaurya, how come no one knew that their director was getting married and Anokhi was bride. Also the students seemed to display no curiosity about all the arrangements in SIAC. I had done my bachelor in a private university where the son of owner got married to a student of that university (It was widely touted as arranged marriage instead of love marriage though), it was like a mini celebration/fest where all students participated as in we all got small boxes of sweet and we all recognized the couple just because we were curious.
I love the way Shaurya is but there are times when I worry how drastic his change is and long it will last. Now that he is married, he has to balance between his various roles as a son, as a husband, as a director and as a professor. He tends to go above and beyond for Anokhi but how long will that last after marriage.
I can't say that I did not like it because I understand the context but I worry about Anokhi. She has still not perfected the art of balancing her ambitions and her love/family with the uncertainties of life. She had to know how much risk she is taking with her giving exam, the way she was and how much Sab family must be pressuring Shaurya. Still she chose to answer her last question and risk it all instead of managing her time or compromising on her results. She is trusting Shaurya to manage it for her which is great but he cannot manage everything every time. It seemed a little bit of reversal for me after her passionate confession on mehendi day and the risk involved. I worry if she does not start picking up on circumstances and undercurrents soon, she will have a hard time in her marriage specially with a family like Sabharwals who will continue to poke in her marriage and take advantage of any weaknesses or hint of conflict in their relationship. She is trying but her instinct is still to operate as lone ranger. The good news is that the conflicts before their marriage have allowed them to understand what they need to change about themselves to make the marriage work.
Precap- So the family drama starts. I wish that Anokhi have two grihpravesh, one at Shaan's flat and one at Sabherwals. Shaurya and Shaan will fight for her right but Astha will not be comfortable in SM. It also helps with the whole SR situation, they can have it at Shaan's flat and then have a grihpravesh at SM next day. Also Anokhi was willing to stay on road that day on bridge instead of moving to SM, today she herself chose SM for Shaurya's happiness.
