You make it sound like wives and Daughters-in-law should only ask for love and respect when they can give something in return, like expertise in housework? Didn't Anupamaa warm up to her on day 1? Did Kinjal have to prove her mettle for that?
Isn't Give and take is a part of professional work where employees get appraisal only after proving their worth?
And why exactly is Anupamaa comparing Leela's scolding with a boss' scolding?
Someone please educate her that the boss can be sued for unlawful harrasment of an employee. Bosses can no longer treat employees, especially female, as their personal punching bag, to vent frustrations even if the employee is not at fault, atleast in reputed companies.
And the way employees tolerate a scolding many times to avoid escalations, but also crack when the pressure is too much to bear, the exact same way Kinjal did.
She tolerated it till Leela didn't stop cribbing even when Kinjal informed her that she was on a work call.
All Leela had to do was wait till Kinjal's work-pressure reduced so that she could get better at learning cooking, or get a maid hired.
If this issue of too many things at once had occurred and was a temporary thing, Leela could have adjusted with Kinjal's substandard cooking for some time, instead of ordering her to concentrate on Anupamaa's instructions word by word, when she already had her office workload.
Kinjal didn't ask for respect, she just said that she cannot and should not be compared to Anupamaa everytime. She was covering for Anupamaa's absence like everyone else, but also had her own workload, which others in the family didn't.
Expecting Kinjal to concentrate on achieving culinary expertise of Anupamaa's level when she had other matters to attend to is insensitive, to say the least!!
