If u caught your cook stealing from u. what would u do?

its difficult to get a cook, then train them. considering this, pls reply.

If this is the first offense and also what they stole is food or some such thing, I would let it be. I would not confront them for sure but I would keep a close eye on them and also lock up all my valuables.

I would have to fire them

Turning them to cops or not depends on the article they stole

If she is otherwise a good happy cook and not the crabby whiny kind, If it’s just food or utensils, I would definitely ignore assuming that this was her first offense.

She is busted insinuate softly like playing tape of 10 commandments loudly (especially 7th) or ask if she needs advance for ration paani..See for few days if there is any self correction..And report back here , we will strategize accordingly then..

Maybe you can try dropping hints gently and let her know that this kind of behavior would not be tolerated... If it continues try warning her directly but tactfully...

It depends on the article being stolen, If they are stealing food items, I feel very bad because none should be reduced to this, I would try to find out if they need help

If cook is stealing expensive articles then I don't have any choice, why would I harbor criminal to avoid a few days of extra work, I can't keep roaming around them worrying about my articles being stolen as we don't stay at home all the time and cook is required in our absence only
