I've been thinking of KHKT since the promo came out too. Same hi story lag rahi hai. TBH, Rohit let me down big time in that track- sure, he stood by Sona, but he was so insensitive through those couple of weeks- uncommunicative, leading on two women, shredded Sona's dignity in front of his family, and then made her guilty for being insecure in the face of his ajeeb behaviour, and he flipped her insecurity on her so insensitively 😡😡

But Pallavi isn't Rohit, Raghav isn't Sona, and KHKT never recovered after this plot, so I hope they've learnt from it and I hope they do better this time. Still staying optimistic!

Bas wajah logical honi chahiye, and Pallavi not living with Vijay. And tbh, I think they need to be a little further in the relationship for it to hit harder.

Yes ur right even I didn't like the way it was handled. Actually I had stopped watching KHKT during the marriage sequence only. It was made so dramatic for no reason.

After that I watched very on and off. Now that you mention I'm remembering things that Rohit did. You're right even I had completely stopped watching by the end specially when they turned Veena negative it was too much for me.

But till now MHRW hasn't disappointed me one bit also. I hope it doesn't disappoint. I had read that in KHKT Sikand was forced to change tracks due to low TRPs. But I hope here he doesn't have to do so and can go with his own creative instinct !

I stopped watching after that scene where Rohit went to Sona's set, and interrupted the shoot, because he wanted to hear her beg him to stay with her instead of going to Raima. Gaddha, it was your job to make her secure, ulta usse apologize karwaya. Phir bolta hai, who tortured you? You did, you dodo. I just couldn't bring myself to care for anything after that. Then I followed written updates here and there till the wedding started, uske baat I have no idea what happened.

I was so, so heartbroken with how they handled Rohit in that scenario. Original Dr. Sippy is still my biggest ITV crush ever- never before and never after have I fallen so hard for a ML, and they did total kachra of him 🤣🤣

You're spot on with MHRW not letting us down even one bit so far though, especially when we thought they would go wrong, we've been surprised positively! Let's see what 28 June brings us.

Really I just don't remember the sequence you're mentioning 😳 I do remember that they had changed everyone's character so drastically. It had become quite an OTT serial.

The initial days of KHKT was perfect just like here there also we couldn't find any faults. But the low TRPs really messed up sikkus vision I guess. I also had stopped watching it so when I read it was going off air I wasn't surprised. They had really mishandled things by the end

I used to love Rohit too and even Sonakshi. It was one serial which I had started watching again after long.

Infact I was quite upset to know this was Siku show considering how he had handled KHKT I was a bit skeptical. Touchwood this show has really been on point till now and I hope 28 June also doesn't disappoint us all !

And we can stick here for looooooooooong !

Haha, that sequence is ingrained in my brain. But good you don't remember, ainvayi gussa aa jaata hai soch ke Rohit pe. KHKT was my return to ITV after years too. I was so nervous about MHRW specifically because of how KHKT first delivered 70 perfect episodes, and then absolute garbage. This show has already done much better for much longer.

I think the time slot has really kept channel pressure away. KHKT was airing at 9 against one of Zee TV's Bhagyas I think, which was a juggernaut, hence so much pressure.

Star is known for interfering a lot in the serials and pressuring them to deliver.

With MHRW they are a bit lienent as we aren't on their prime plus in regards to the other serial we are the slot leaders. So their chill but see the fate of SAAK there are rumors of it being axed cause of low trps. Star is a really horrible channel

You know, go to the forum or hashtag of any show that's been axed or put under the radar, and fans will insist that this channel is the worst. But yes, seems like Colors and Star are considered really notorious- I guess Sony is considered the most benevolent?

I took a media studies class back in college, and did a paper on how TRP drives the Indian TV industry. Finding even scraps of information took insane amounts of effort- I used to be reduced to tears trying to piece enough to make sense of it.

And it's mind-blowing that such a messy, inconsistent metric that no one really understands is the only measure of success of TV content. This whole system is way overdue a revamp, else I worry we'll keep getting served garbage content.

Yes I have time and again heard how TRP is very inconsistent. But it was this bad I didn't know. It's high time the big shots of TV protest against this system and get it revamped.

Yes Star & colours are the most notorious actually. They solely want TRPs. Bring them that and they will let you run 8 9 yrs like yrkkh don't bring that so even if it's an EK show like KZK 2 they will axe it.

Sony and zee are also the same tbh it's just that they give their shows a little more time.

Star is the most watched channel hence they have enough serials at any point of time in pipeline. Hence they keep the sword handing on all producers
