"I said,stop it Meera.." Aangre shouted at Meera,requesting her to stop.
"Kyun ruku main?? Riddhima thhi na saamne jab Vansh sir aapko korhey se maar rahe thhe?? Unhe rok nahi payi woh???" Meera replied,looking at Vansh and Riddhima angrily.
"Meera,main samajh sakti hu tumpe kya beet rahi hai aur jaanti bhi hu Vansh ki galti hai.. He was not in his senses!!!" Riddhima tried to intervene.
"Agar Vansh sir pe koi korhey lagaye tumhare saamne aur koi na aaye rokne keliye,tab samjhogi ki kya beet rahi thi mujhpe. Inhe dard ke maare neend nahi aarahi thi.. Itne saalo ki wafadaari ke badle yeh mila Aangre ko??" Meera replied,with angry tears.
Just then,a slap was heard,which echoed in the whole dining area. Everyone,including Vansh gasped seeing Aangre,who slapped Meera.
"Dare you say another word against Vansh bhai,Meera!!!" Aangre replied angrily.
Meera was dead shocked. She couldn't believe that her love slapped her infront of everyone,who chose to fight for her husband's self respect. Her heart just broke into millions of pieces.
"Aangre,hosh mein toh ho!! Aise apne biwi pe koi haath uthata hai kya?" Vansh shouted.
Riddhima went near to console Meera but she shrugged her hand off. She slumped down on the chair,with a blank expression adorning her face.
"Mil gayi aap dono ko tasalli?? Dil ko sukoon mil gaya aap dono ko???" Meera asked Vansh and Riddhima,with a blank look.
"Agar ek aur lafz nikala tumne Vansh bhai aur Bhabhi ke khilaaf,toh bhul jaunga ki tum meri biwi ho.." Aangre replied,very angrily,not realising what he just uttered.
"Shut up,Aangre. Soch samajh ke bola karo!!!" Riddhima shushed him.
Meera got up and walked towards Aangre,Vansh and Riddhima. Her face bore no expressions. It was pure blank,like a paper.
"Thank you so much for the anniversary gift,Aangre. Aap ne bohut hi accha gift diya mujhe yeh batake ki meri jagah batake aapke life mein.. Ek main pagal,aapke liye bohut hi accha gift laayi thhi jo aapko khushi degi par aapne mera dil torh diya..." Meera broke into tears and left the dining area.
Riddhima and Vansh tried to call her when they noticed an envelope on the floor. It was of a nearby hospital,in the name of Meera.
Vansh signalled Riddhima to see it. Riddhima opened the envelope and what they saw was indeed the best gift of Aangre and Meera's life.
"Mera intezar karna,Baba.. Aapse milne arahi hu 8 mahine baad."
"Yeh kya kiya tumne,Aangre??? Apni pregnant biwi pe haath uthane ki himmat kaise ki?" Riddhima questioned.
"Pregnant??? Meera???" Aangre was confused with the news.
"Pagal insaan.. Meera 2 mahine pregnant hai aur yeh news tumhari anniversary gift thhi from her,par tumne uspar haath uthake sab kharab kardia!!!" Vansh replied,in a angry tone.
Only then,Aangre realised what he said to her,in a fit of anger. He was highly ashamed of his act and slumped down,covering his face,full of tears and embarassment. He was regretting really badly for his actions.
"Apne pati ke upar zulm hone par,usne awaaz uthayi,ismein kya galat kiya usne??? I am glad and proud of her that she raised her voice on me aur mujhe ekdum bura nahi laga.." Vansh tried to make him understand.
"Hum dono ka patch up karate tumhe lag gayi aur uska protest kiya usne!!! Is mein kuch burai nahi hai,Aangre. She did what she felt was right. And what you did was utterly wrong!! Jao aur sorry bolo usse!!" Riddhima explained and ordered him to apologise.
Just then,they heard a bellboy running down,asking for a doctor.
"Kya hua??? Doure doure doctor ko kyun bula rahe ho?" Vansh asked.
"Meera madam ki tabiyat kharab hogayi hai.. Ek female staff member hai madam ke pass,unhone hi bola doctor ko bulane ko.."
Not waiting for anyone,Aangre ran towards his room to find Meera panting really hard to breathe. Her face became red and was having cramps,as well.
Aangre sat beside her,holding her hand,muttering uncountable apologies to her.. The doctor also cane in the mean while. Riddhima stayed inside with Meera,while Vansh pulled out Aangre,forcibly.
After a while,Doctor along with Riddhima came out while Aangre was being consoled by Vansh.
"Meri biwi kaisi hai,doctor?? Aur baby??? Dono thik hai na??? Say something,damn it!!!" Aangre shouted in frustration.
"Aangre... Chup karo tum.. (turning to Doctor) Meera aur uska baby kaise hai abhi??" Vansh asked in a concerned tone.
"Maa aur bacche dono safe hai but agar thori der aur hojati toh shayad bacche ko bacha pana mushkil hojaya.. Asthma attack hua thha Meera ko. Abhi keliye she is sleeping,ek do ghante baad uth jayegi.. And also,she seemed to be in a lot of stress,gaalo mein ungliyo ke nishaan... sab thik toh hai??" Doctor told and asked,as well.
Aangre closed his eyes in pain as he remembered how he slapped Meera.
"Sab thik hai,doctor.. Kuch nahi hua.." Vansh covered up.
"Okay.. Please take care of her and make sure koi stress na ho unhe.. Keep her happy and smiling." Doctor adviced and left.
Aangre immediately went inside to see Meera sleeping peacefully,with her palms covering her belly. Aangre had tears of joy in his eyes. He also placed his palm over Meera's hand and felt the baby's heartbeat. He bent down and placed a kiss on her swollen cheek.
"I am sorry,meri jaan.. Please jaldi uth jao.. I just cant see you sleeping like a log!!!" Aangre requested her.
