Just that Ahaan had a lot of time to think over his feelings plus he had a sorted Karthik who always pointed out his behaviour towards Ishqi and pushed him to introspect even more. Even his relationship with Rhea seems very superficial with him having no attachment to her or a sense of commitment. We never saw him thinking to himself that all he feels for Ishqi is wrong as he is committed to Rhea. He only used to feel bad that Ishqi is going to marry his bestie.

Ishqi on the other hand had too many issues on her hand. Like her masa troubling masi, then her own impending marriage with Mayank which made it difficult for her to have feelings for Ahaan plus Sonu's issue was very grave which gave her literally no time to think about herself. If you see before She went to terrace, she was very curious about what happened when she was drunk. And when she heard Ahaan Karthik convo she was shocked, thats when she started to have her doubts about her marriage.

I think his going out of the way for her what drew her to him. He always helped her when he didn't need to. It wasn't even his place to help, neither did she ask for it but still he stood by her. She always wanted a guy who would understand her unsaid things and Ahaan was that person for her. Be it the engagement fiasco, her masi and house issue etc. Not that she cannot help herself but for a girl who has always fended for herself, someone standing by her must be a very good feeling. The way he encouraged her during sangeet ceremony when everyone put her down, the way he looked out for her during mehendi, its all something a girl would like in her partner. It was just a matter of time for her. Otherwise I do believe she would have broken her marriage for Ahaan as love is something very important for her

But what Ahaan did after she broke off her wedding, I guess it just destroyed every good thing she felt for him and replaced it with plain fear which would take a long time to go away.

um, maybe they were on the same page pre leap but whatever may be the case, their equation has definitely changed after the leap. just like previously, she still didn't get any time to introspect her feelings, and i don't think she would now after all the damage ahaan has caused her. she's scared of him as she knows what he's capable of doing - also, her trauma is real. to feel for ahaan, she has to overcome the trauma first which will not happen anytime soon. whereas ahaan (though still choosing to be in denial and now in destruction mode 🤦‍♀️) has fallen more deeper into his feelings for her.

@bold: i completely agree w what you have said - i also feel this is what drew her to ahaan! also, ahaan was the first to feel for her, ishqi's feelings came in light later, so yes, it was a matter of time for her - had she gotten more time to introspect her feelings and had she gotten more time to spend w ahaan, she would have broken her marriage w mayank if she realised she really feels for him. but i don't think she'd straight away confess to ahaan b/c ofc of the conflicting ideologies, but also b/c of rhea! she'd never want to come b/w rhea and ahaan. she might call off her wedding b/c of her feelings (knowing she won't ever feel for mayank) but wouldn't come b/w ahaan and rhea unless ahaan consciously moved his steps towards her leading them to something more than what they presently were.

by the way, do you think ishqi is angry at ahaan for destroying her? her trauma is just too real that i mostly see her trembling and scared in front of ahaan. i did see her anger while she pushed him thinking he's her hallucination, though. maybe her fear is overpowering her anger at this moment and she's tired w everything that has happened after the mayank fiasco.

Personally, I don't think either of their feelings are fully developed yet, and imo that's the beauty of watching it--we see two people who are polar opposites of each other stumbling onto one another, struggle and gradually learn to complement and balance each other out in a way as if they are two pieces of a puzzle that were always supposed to fit perfectly. At this stage, Ahaan and Ishqi are still at the initial stage where they're just starting to feel things they've never felt before, and they still have a long way to go in this aag ka daariya. I think Ahaan's feelings seem more prominent because we're not used to seeing Ahaan feel things the way Ishqi does and let's admit it, we love it more when the khadoos ML who scoffs and frowns at the "behenji" FL starts getting all hot and bothered just by her mention 😆

Also, I kinda want Ishqi to get a job offer in a different place away from Ahaan and I want her to take it. Usko bhi thoda chill karne do yaar while Ahaan sings yeh dooriyaaan

I think her fear stems from her circumstances - she has nothing to fall back on. Ishqi had stated to Ahaan “main ajeeb nahi ghareeb hoon”... if she had a stable environment at home, all she would feel is hurt/anger not fear with regards to Ahaan. Hurt because she told him once that “koi saath dey na Dey, aap hamesha mera saath Dete Hain” (Paraphrased)... and anger because he thinks it’s her fault - but right now it’s not like that. Somewhere she thoughT she had his unconditional support but things propelled and unfolded in a way that his support has become the opposite.

We noticed her lift her head at him once only in the last scene where he kind of pleads with her - she wasn’t scared but just doesn’t have it in her to fight him and the reality is she can lose everything if she speaks her mind / heart with that fire AVM is searching for.

Btw Ahaan liked Ishqi in the first meet only - physical attraction to bhai ki shuru se thi.

i think with the last words Aahan told her pre-leap her heart was broken that made her indifferent to anything Aahan or anyone else saying/doing

More than anything she is helpless and her focus is only to save mausi

yes, i guess this might be the case! she's scared and is mum b/c of the circumstances and she knows if she takes any step that can backfire her in any way she'll lose whatever little she has right now. and as you stated, the hurt arises from the fact that avm wasn't w him this time unlike the past situations :/
also, her anger (which is kinda suppressed rn) would also arise from the hurt that he wasn't w her this time but more than this, the fact that she wasn't able to give a perfect life to her maasi which she has always dreamed for her would take the lead here along w her other reasons.

i loved how she said that she has no fault in whatever happened - that sure did show that she's still the same ishqi but is broken and tired of everything that has happened to her in these past months.

@bold: i'm not sure about the first meet as i've not really watched the initial epis w full concentration, so i can't say about that, but yes ahaan has in some way or another always been attracted to ishqi!

Yes ... that last scene where she cries and replays Sarla’s theft accusation along with Ahaan’s “search her” line ... she was completely hurt / broken over that. In past, every time Sarla hurled something against Ishqi he stood by her be it mangni, mehndi, sangeet, etc. This was the opposite and it was only when he came after her she realized why he is being the Douchebag. Lol

And that is why she had the courage to stick it to him with that one line of forgiveness.

this makes so much sense considering how avm has always been there for her through thick and thin w/o even asking but now she's kinda shocked knowing how the same avm has not only destroyed her life, is humiliating her but not even standing w her like he used to do - this was the very thing which drew ishqi to him, and avm has ruined it all. it's gonna be difficult for ishqi now to let avm into her life, let alone feel for him - ahaan has to go a long way to earn her trust and to redeem himself.

again, i really loved that single dialogue - it was enough from her side and said everything that she wanted to say in response to whatever he has been saying and asking.
