if one is giving credit to karisma for these..then i would also mention Body Guard..Golmaal 3

if comparisons are being made where she truly was the selling point then for every Ki and Ka..Veere and JWM..ill compare those with karisma's movie where she was the similar deal which rode primarily on her. movies like Yeh Silsila hai Pyar ka..Fiza..Shakti..and the BO for all of these is much much lower.

You said what I've been trying to say 👍

Maybe you don't quote me because then you would have trouble defending your arguments, or maybe you think you're better than the other person to get into a direct debate with them, so you just blabber whatever you want in air to make yourself feel better.

No I can't dictate you. But I can still form my opinions on you based on how you respond to me or others.

Hum Saath Saath Hain had whom? Mohnish Behl, Tabu, Sonali Bendre were never Superstars or bankable stars. Nobody cared about Saif back then.

Salman and Karisma were by far the most popular faces in the movie. Salman was no Arjun Kapoor back then, but Hum Saath Saath Hain was also not a chindi Hit like Ki & Ka. It was a big Blockbuster. Same with Biwi No 1. It was also a big Hit.

Aamir wasn't even considered a Superstar before Raja Hindustani. That movie made him one. You think it's success did nothing for Karisma?

BTW, I would give credit to Kareena for Golmaal 3, but not for Bodyguard because everyone and their neighbor knows who made that film Blockbuster.

Fiza had Hrithik. Shakti had SRK in guest appearance. I'm sure if these films had worked, the male actors would've gotten credit, and if any solo movie starring Karisma didn't work, then that doesn't mean it would've worked with Kareena either. Because neither sister has/had stardom big enough to make a crap film work.

No point arguing with someone that has made conclusions based on how a post is quoted. 😂

Like I said, you really think you're better than me and I'm not worthy of an argument with you.

Well if you really think so then you better stick to your words and stop arguing with me directly or INDIRECTLY.

Of course kareena. In her peak her solo movie Heroine opened +7 crs in 2012!!! Just imagine what the opening would be if she had her peak now.

btw VDW is still the biggest opened movie for a female oriented movie!!!

Yeah because a 4 year long career (1996 - Raja Hindustani to 2000 - Fiza) is more successful than a 20 year long career that Kareena has.

Forget Kareena, but Karishma can't compete with the 90s heroines either. When people think of the 90s actresses, Sridevi and Madhuri's name come first as they are lie Bollywood's biggest superstars. Then Kajol, because she's still relevant and working today. Juhi chawla is still fondly remembered by audience for her unparalleled comic timing. Even Tabu is more popular as she is still working today. Hardly anyone remembers Karishma now.

Karishma was like the Preity Zinta of 90s -- popular at that point, but overall did not have the lasting impact that other in her time did.

Kareena's career has surpassed even that of Rani or Ash (who is definitely a bigger star than Karishma), so really no comparison.

@ For those saying Kareena's career is nothing, she's overrated, her career is blah etc etc - even if I agree with you, tell me, what's so special about Karishma's career?

Karishma debuted in the early 90s, did some WTF comedy movies with Govinda that no one watched, and then finally found success with AAA / RH (circa 95-96). And that continued until Fiza (2000). After that, she drastically became irrelevant as Ash/PZ/Rani took over. Zubeida, Shakti were critically acclaimed, but commercially they were flops. No one cared for Karishma post 2000 as other actresses (like Ash Preity Rani etc) took over. That's 5 years worth of career.

Madhuri/Sridevi/Juhi all had longer careers than her and are recognized far more (Sri and Madhuri are like the most popular Indian faces ever and Juhi is recognized for her comedy). Kajol is still relevant and working with A stars. Tabu had a career revival with Haider / Andhadhun. Karishma won't stand a chance even with her 90s contemporaries...

Compare that with Kareena's 20 year long career and still going. Of course I understand it's the time ... Karishma worked at a time when films were not great and actresses didn't have a career after they reached 30. Kareena is lucky to enter at a time when films are so much better, there are so better roles written for girls after they are 30, audiences are more accepting of older actresses today.

But whatever the reason maybe, Kareena's career has surpassed Karishma's by miles.

Truly spectacular. I can actually say I've grown up watching her films and remember dancing to her songs at various occasions. And still have the opportunity to dance to her latest songs like High Heels, Tareefan and Chandigarh; straight up mainstream hits. That's a feat.

Throwback to her earlier hits that are super memorable in my childhood!

Her first and last period film unfortunately, Asoka. Did she do any after that? She was fire as Kaurwaki, fresh and so raw!
