no offence but piku was not a stamped hit on paper..the hit tag it got needs to be attributed to the entire team and cast which also includes its lead actor who essayed piku..an actor faltering in a tital role would have resulted in a disaster..deepika was so natural and effortless in it..parineeti doing the movie might have done nothing for her even..for all we know she might have ruined it and the movie might have flopped..so we cannot say doing piku she would be at the top..if she was as filmy..ott..fake and dramatic in piku as she was in girl on the train..then it would have tanked for sure

How are we so sure that she wouldnt have given her best performance and it wouldnt do well even if she was there.She was good in movies like Ishaqzaade and Hassee Toh Phasee without any hamming whatsoever too.Even though most of the times she has played bubbly roles,I feel she is a natural and would have done well because that was well before her break and when she was doing fairly well in her career.More than anything that break has affected her somewhere.

Anyways it is all just an opinion|POV.Not that what happened can be changed:{

I think pari pairing with irfan would’ve looked weird. Deepika looks great with older actors and younger actors. Parineeti looks strange with older actors, I saw golmaal and she was looking like ajay’s daughter. Kriti whose younger than her looks good with older actors. Kriti looks great with Akshay kumar and parineeti made horrible pairing with Akshay kumar from the promos didn’t even bother watching their movie

She is probably the biggest box office poison i have seen , not a single movie that worked since 2014 except Golmaal in which she played no part.

She shouldn't have taken any break and continued to doing bubbly roles. I liked her initially but I don't find any charisma in her onscreen or in her interviews anymore. She used to be fun loving, now I find her pretentious.

I found her OK in TGOTT but I don't want to give Saina a try because the trailer itself was horrible. It is like the worst tribute to such a personality. Saina deserved better.

I have not seen parineeti movie with ayushmann I heard it flopped but some people liked the movie so I’ll watch it some other time. I think the romantic comedy movie pari did with Arjun, if athiya shetty did the movie, it would’ve been a hit.

Interesting perspective. There was certainly a subtleness in the character DP played and she was able to pull it off so nicely and naturally. I think Parineeti would've been too loud. Her acting looks forced sometimes.

Didn’t she get great reviews for all three of these movies though? At least that’s the impression I’m getting from social media. So while the movies themselves flopped Parineeti is walking away with something. She may never be a box office queen and the numero uno or whatever. But I think she still has the opportunity to carve a niche for herself in off beat roles and become the critics’ darling.

As for what went wrong with her career, my opinion, Bollywood played on her insecurities and she never fully recovered. The two years post KilDil were all about her weight and it was all her own doing. She just wouldn’t shut up about it. She has a certain personality and image and is not suited for every role but like other ambitious actresses wanted it all and fell on her face. Happens to others too. Except she didn’t have a good support system, or any support system, to help her bounce back. She was left to her own devices and here we are.

All that being said, I still think she can find success if she focuses on critics and content rather than box office.

i don't know if you have seen Girl on the train..both original and this..she was the weakest link and that is also a popular opinion..

and she cannot always be the victim..vidya faced worst criticism on weight and she didn't lose her perspective or acting chops..in fact she totally played to the T and gave brilliant performances..more than anything..parineeti's own insecurities and pretentious self killed her career and her craft..at the end she gained all the weight back and also lost the craft..a total lost case

She had a marketing job once. Maybe she should go back to that
