This was Dev's one chance to make amends, atone for his past behavior, set things right. He is as spineless as ever, cowardly in his behavior. he can never stand up for Imlie. If he is forced to choose between Malini and Imlie, he would hands down choose Malini and throw Imlie under the bus. This is the chipkali ki pooch that Imlie was saying to Adi about NN, all the words she used and more can be applied to Dev.

I would liken SK to Yashoda who raised Sri Krishna lovingly and guided him when he was mischievous and naughty. SK has tolerated all of Imlie's nautankis and guided her on the right path all these years, without the formal title of baba. His core is strong and that has made Imlie strong too. SK is very protective of Imlie and vice versa. Adi babu got to see this first hand at the hands of Imarti in cowshed. He has since then seen Imlie being protective of him. He returned the favor by saving her life, but was this a conscious thought or gut reaction to a situation. SK's motives have been pure and selfless, genuinely wanting Imlie to succeed, considering her to be his daughter in all but name. It was rather sad, when he said that he is nothing to Imlie, cannot call himself as her baba or... that struck a chord in me.

Mithi in episode#7 and 8, tells herself that she cannot wish her pain and suffering on SK, when Imlie asks why Mithi does not marry SK, this is her cross to bear, cannot go to SK with her emotional baggage. A few of us watched it over the weekend where the parallel of Imlie making fun of Adi n Adi ROFL seeing Imlie in his clothes.. the episodes were so fulfilling, SK spilling the truth of Imlie's birth to Adi. This shows Adi's character too as he has never taunted Imlie over the lack of a father, i know someone mentioned in this thread. It was always for her other supposed faults but never about a lack of a father or his name.

I think when Imlie does complete her degree, makes a name for herself, she should just stick to her own name, not add on C or T, she does not need a last name to shine or make a name for herself. By then, there would have been many such slurs and insults cast her way, to not want to add anyone's name to hers.

Adi was mostly watching the drama unfold in the sidelines, piecing together some events. he may be the one to stop Imlie from stumbling on the truth. The fact that Imlie recotnized Dev's car by the number plate and his poor condition due to the thrashing may spur her return to Dilli, unaware that he is her baba. Do want her to remain in ignorance else the guilt will be even more pronounced.

Anu finally got her chance to end things as she was never For this marriage with the T's. Her daughter will think otherwise atleast for now, will return to apologize for her mom's words..Bracing myself for the onslaught of tears and drama.

@bold: THIS. If the last line is any solace, it's that.....that after witnessing all that he did in today's revelations, Adi's final thought was admiration for SK over everyone else....that's who he wants to emulate rather than wallowing in comparing his kismat to Dev as the man with two relationships - one in the city, one in PD. I REALLY don't want to see that kinda crap from Adi. Let's hope they oblige.

Exactly that why It was so surreal and poignant at the same time. Because he was saying you have made a place in my life but I still have to say goodbye because of relationship complications and also because thats what she wants . It was welcome and goodbye all in that moment.
So he thinking of living a happy life with Malini is really not surprising for me. Whether he can actually do it is another question completely. I doubt my not after these three days in PD.

@bold: I completely agree with that. I see Adi idolizing SK from the very beginning. I don’t know about tomorrow because uski uljhan itni badl hai, but the conviction of his true course will come in time and its roots will be in this conversation between DEv-sK and Meethi.

Yeah I get that his reasoning during the hug was that he expects to go back to Delhi but always remember Imlie but it never sounded as shady in that scene as it sounded today😆.....in the hug scene, you could palpably see that he expected he would leave his heart and soul behind in PD. Today he was making it sound like he would aaraam se divide his time between two worlds - PD and Delhi😆.

It was a random bit in all likelihood. We won't got clarity until he actually gets back to Delhi and whatever "normalcy" he thinks he's going to find😆.

That day it sounded like he was leaving it on kismat which i felt he was ot had the uncertainty ke pata nahi humare Naseeb main kya hai .. mile ya na mile remember this was not a joke with added to their equation.. today they made it sound like a plan.. ke adi ka plan and that is the difference still nothing wrong with hug .. caz that is most likely the adi they will follow and I hope they will caz this cheater version that they made him sound today was just so ughh🤢

Yes. Imli may even start by giving up her core belief that Adi is her rishta from Sita Maiyya for the sake of her sister. Remember her telling adi to drop the diya - that night at the temple? he keeps it going even ehen she asks him to forsake it. She will eventually get to her truth after realizing that how much ever she may want to hand Adi over to Malini on a plate - and be the sacrificial lamb - a relationship without love on both sides will not go anywhere.

Adi will try to respect her wishes - and at Imli's insistense try to rebuild with MAlini - but will find on return to PG that he simply cannot return to pre-PG relationship with her and start distancing himself from her slowly. He will be a SK for Imli.

Yes. That made so much more sense to who he has always been and who he bound himself to during his current trip to PD. I mean SK was the guy who took care of his injured foot. You do not see that and then see the roughed up liar Dev and think yeah, let’s be him.

Even if they make him compare, I hope it is not beyond two lines. His anger should really overtake anything else that he feels for Dev and his situation.

I think we all have to wait till tomorrow's epi to get a clarity on Adi's thought process. That line about Delhi & PD being separate in Adi's mind was hella shady if taken literally. But I have another interpretation.

In this line Delhi means Malini & PD means Imlie. For Adi, these 2 women have been separate entities till now connected through him. They didn't have any direct relationship.

Whatever would have been Adi's decision regarding moving ahead with only Imlie as his partner after coming clean to everyone, these 2 women would be separated. They would not be in each others life anymore.

But now since they are half sisters, they are still going to be connected throughout life regardless of Adi.
