Spanish girl in ZNMD

Only after my other thread and watching ZNMD, I realized how regressive and dumb that character was. Tbh it’s a very sexist thing to show as well where girls are shown to be that dumb and welcoming a creep like Imraan to flirt with her. Characters like these encourage desis to act creepy and weird in front of white girls. I swear if someone like Imran acted with a Spanish girl like that irl, she would have beat the hell out of him or at least reported for harassment. It seems like Zoya added her in the movie as a bonus for her brother because other than that I don’t see why would you portray a character like that especially when you’re a “woke” woman yourself

Are you talking about the shower scene? It was yeah weird, inappropriate and made me question the girl's judgement. Also since you mentioned it, is it characters like this that inspire creepy desi dudes to ask for pictures of "bobs and vegene" online? I always wondered where these weirdos got the courage to do that.

Overall Zoya wrote Imraan that way because he was supposed to be a horny man with very loose morals. He likes to sleep with people without getting emotionally attached. He even slept with his best friend's fiancée, that's how gross he is. It was a flaw and they had to show it. I don't know if the Spanish girl was like Prem Chopra's victims who believed he was doing something meaningful with her. I don't find it regressive, or showing the girl as dumb if she found him attractive and wanted the same things out of their meeting as he did. A hookup. If she was tricked then maybe.

Still its not the way to portray a woman especially in a motivational movie like that in the 21st century. Yeah, the weirdos and creep get inspiration from movies like this too, bc they think that white women are very sexually advanced so they send such messages.
