Aditya is lucky that she was bed ridden warna wo uth kar sayad Aditya ke sath ambulance mein hi ulte phere laga leti. 😆 fir Aditay ok Imlie ke bagal wale bed pe admit karna padta 😆

I loved the way you explained Aditya’s n Imlie’s situation, you are so right, destiny brought them together and adi was the first one to reject it, imlie was forced to accept this destiny because of her village culture etc, but after adi’s rejection she also accepted that they don’t belong together. However this gunshot incident provoked adi to accept his destiny, but now imlie is the one who freed him, so now they are back to square one, now they would have to Choose for themselves whatever they want to do. And this choice of theirs will make their relationship more authentic, pure if they wish to be together, yes destiny played an important role in bringing them together but their choice would matter alot. Now everything revolves around their choice, their choice or rather Adi’s choice will shape up their relation in the future.

I liked how you said that imlie will think that adi hates her still that’s why he is distant and Adi will think that imlie doesn’t want/need him anymore, i would love to see this where they’ll misunderstand each others’ true feelings and will remain away from each other for the other’s sake.

Very nicely written analysis :)

This week's epis have definitely been a watershed for Aditya, and the dam of emotions that burst out of him over seeing Imlie almost die will definitely leave a mark on his psyche.

But I think he is still a long way from accepting his relationship with Imlie. Based on the previous patterns of the show, anytime Adi shows some kindness or bonding with Imlie is usually followed by him pulling back. There are moments of impulse from him where he doesn't hold back.....that is what I feel this turn of events in the rain where he shared such organic laughter with Imlie was, where he poured out his worry for her without holding back, hugging her in panic.....there was also impulse in his promise to her in the ambulance which was specifically worded to say that he is willing to take RESPONSIBILITY but he isn't sure if he can nibhaao the RISHTA.

Imlie is a mystifying force in Adi's life....she has effortlessly taken over his life in a way he can't fully comprehend.....I feel he doesn't just struggle with the helplessness he feels about being forcibly joined to her by destiny, he also struggles with how effortlessly she manages to bond with him and his family in such a short time. That is part of why he tries to be cold to her too.

The scene in the ambulance wasn't about him accepting Imlie as a wife.....that would involve accepting the relationship. The scene in the ambulance was about him accepting that he can't escape the responsibility he feels towards Imlie and now he will step up to it. Even if she asked him to remove the suhaag ki nishaanis, I don't think that is what will make him pull back from her.....this weird shared secret of hiding the shaadi of theirs will continue for a while....even as he is overwhelmed that in such a situation also when she was dying, she is still thinking of saving him from uncomfortable questions, I don't think for him it was about Imlie forsaking him as a husband there. I think all the symbols of the shaadi just hit him hard whenever he sees them....it's like it hits him all over again the tragedy that has happened with him and Imlie.

But I do agree with your point that in his own way, Adi has formed an attachment to Imlie and does expect things like subconsciously thinking she will stop him from leaving Pagdandiya. He is still a long way from understanding this attachment though. For now, him accepting his responsibility towards Imlie is a big step....I think he will accept that he no longer can live with blinders about Imlie and he has to let her into his life as a responsibility atleast. He is shaken by the fact that she almost died....this will strengthen his resolve to protect her.....and from there, I think they may begin to form more of a friendship as he helps her join college and try to build her life in the city.

It will take a lot for Adi to begin to understand how much Imlie has come to mean to him in such a short time....this gunshot incident feels like it was one step towards that....but it will be a long journey since there are so many complicating factors. I also feel that in the long run, Malini herself will end up alienating Adi from herself by suspecting him and Imlie....especially if she starts to see Adi's protectiveness for Imlie.

Forgot to add one more thing that your post reminded me of.....

That time that Malini landed in the hospital with her anxiety attack and Imlie tried to console Adi.....she told him then also that faith is what makes something have meaning. If he believes a ritual means something, then it does....otherwise it's just a dhaaga.

Imlie has preserved the sanctity of the suhaag symbols and rituals when she can.....but she also doesn't hesitate in removing them whenever she needs to protect Adi from either the Delhi crowd or the Pagdandiya crowd. For Imlie, her faith lies in him more than the symbols of their marriage. She protects him, not just cuz he's her husband....but because she has developed a strong attachment to him. That strength of goodness in her and her ability to so effortlessly put him before herself is what disarms Adi and makes him feel all the more guilty.

This guy has literally been willing to die so many times rather than face the Pagdandiya mob.....it is Imlie who puts herself in front of him each time to shield him even when he's being careless with his life. He actually owes his life to her but he doesn't really stop to process that because the tower of lies that has built up weighs heavy on him all the time.

So all these symbols of marriage will only mean something to both of them when Adi chooses them of his own free will. Imlie is only holding onto them because that is part of her upbringing....she doesn't demand any right that comes with these symbols and rituals. They will only mean something when they both choose it together....until then, these are only ceremonies.

Gosh your posts always leave me in awe. ❤️

You're absolutely right. The entire premise of Adilie is destiny vs choice. I think now Aditya has finally made the CHOICE to accept Imlie as part of his DESTINY but he is yet to accept that she is also DESTINED to be his CHOICE. That will come with time.😉

I loved all the hospital scenes where Aditya sought moments of solitude away from the Tripathi clan and Malini to let his emotions pour out. The way he kept that poker face on as Malini glanced sideways at him after they received news of Imlie's recovery but then kept back as the family charged ahead just so he could finally collapse to his knees in prayerful gratitude because he's never felt a convulated storm of fear, pain, joy this intense ever in his life. That was so poignant because it means that he isn't actually starting to rebuild those walls around his heart against Imlie. As he helplessly watched Imlie cover for him yet again by lying to his family about how she got shot, it's become crystal clear that it's Imlie who now holds the power to rebuild those walls around his heart or guide him to surrender it to her.

What's even more delicious here is that Imlie herself isn't aware of this newfound power she has over him which is why she still so innocently apologised to him when he came to her bedside...despite everything they've just been through together, she doesn't dare believe that he wants her in his life. Her heart is still bruised from all the hurtful accusations he threw her way just a few days back. And he, well he was taken aback and rushed to tell her she has nothing to apologise for. This here I believe will be the greatest obstacle for them...not Malini or any other external person. Aditya will no doubt fulfil his promise to uphold his responsibility but she'll resist his nice gestures because she is too strong and self-respecting of a person to allow him to do so. The more this happens, the more he'll be forced to confront the nature of his true feelings for her.

Aaah Bhaskar Times Ki Chief Executive Reporter Aditya Kumar Tripathi is in for the bumpiest ride of his lifetime and Adilie fans have booked a front row seats to watch him suffer😆
