Amitabh's double role in Sooryavansham

What was the need to cast Amitabh B as Old & young Bhanu Pratap in Sooryavansham 😕

He was fine as Old Bhanu Pratap

But looked so creepy as Young Bhanu Pratap 😕

Saundarya didn't look good with big b (as young BP) was well -

They lacked chemistry and charm ...

Why didn't they cast some young actor for role of Young BP 😕

Anil k , ajay devgan would have done a better job than big b as young Bhanu Pratap

Not a Amitabh fan but wasn't late 90s was when Amitabh was struggling and in many films still trying act as a much younger hero. Like Bade Miyan Chote miyan. So that's why. In Sooryavansham the son is the protagonist.

One of his best films

Much younger than current Khans.. Ignoring the age factor, he was good ...I just pretend he married too late in scenes with Soundarya(even then, it doesn't justify him with his previous girlfriend though, but I just ignore that 😆)

I have never seen this film. I heard about it for the first time on this forum only. Looks like it is pretty popular here. Should I watch it? 😕

😆 You should! Only to see what the fuss is about if for nothing else. I know it's a very typical filmi father son drama but I love this movie. I think I watch it at least once a year. I might even watch it today.

He was 57 at the time and was paired opposite a 21 year old newcomer. Even Salman Khan hasn't pulled that hahahahah.
