| As the new era in the game of cricket dawns with the shorter version, Twenty-Twenty, it is just not the cricketers who are excited about the craze that this new format has brought into the game! Even our television stars have now found an entertaining way to chill out and what better than a twenty-twenty game of cricket? The list of small screen actors getting hooked to the game includes names like Faisal Khan, Jay Bhanushali, Salil Acharya, Karan Wahi, Mohit Khan, Naveen Saini, Mohsin Akhtar, Muzammil Akhtar and Ashish Sharma, who have formed a team under the captaincy of the veteran actor, Ayub Khan. Talking about his new-formed team, Ayub Khan states, "I have formed a team called Actorletics on March 18. I think it is more of an outlet for us to beat stress. One spends a lot of time on the sets and so there is little time for physical exercise". So who is the person behind this refreshing idea? The credit for this goes to the vice-captain of the team, Faizal Raza Khan, who feels that a game of cricket can teach one many things about life. "Cricket is special for me, it's not only a game, and it's a passion and being an Indian and it's in our blood. It teaches you how to deal with stress and still maintain your cool." The team has a very efficient all-rounder in the dashing young lad Karan Wahi who says, "I had played the game for my college and state team. Actually I am a bowler who bats a lot, but I love fielding because of the energy level you need in fielding, I just love the game." Jay Bhanushali, the perfect 'Team Man' stresses on this aspect and says, "Cricket is about team effort and not an individual's game, so I won't focus on my performance alone. The whole team has to play together to win the match. Everyone has to give their effort in order to win a game otherwise the excitement goes out from the match". Not only this, Jay looks forward to the IPL format and says, "The concept is really going to change the form of cricket. It will have lot of star players, Bollywood actors and actresses." Concurs, Karan, "I love this new format. I think it will be brilliant for those who are playing as well as those who are watching it". |
