Yes when it was planned fir sb it was light hearted drama considering star bharat theme as they also brought some light hearted dramas like panchal,nimki mukhiya etc but then on zee it become dramatic evn tho promos were giving vibes of light hearted show

@bold - Yes Star Bharat had those good light-hearted dramas which was also the initial take on GB.

However, even though Nimki was garnering good numbers too. People were not simply accepting it.

The writer cum director of the series Zama Habib was verbally abused, trolled and even given racial comments from the people of his hometown, Bihar.

Even the lead actress Bhumika Gurung was trolled immensely.

The reason was that the regressive ITV viewers could not take BOLD CONTENT & FEMINIST TAKE of Nimki.

Many ppl were even justifying the MARITAL RAPE of Babbu on Nimki 🤢

Zama Habib is currently one of the co-writers of Anupamaa which shows the FEMINIST TAKE reflected in Anupamaa,

I always liked her quriky yet feminist side....plus i hated that babbu so much that i left watchinf bcz of him nd his family lol

Babbu was such expressionless actor....i never liked him

Zama habib was also coproducer of sasural genda phool......nd his female leads are always diff be it nimki or suhana

But I seen few comments on You Tube of many people mostly females wanting Nimki-Babbu back and hated her pair with Indraneil. Later they killed rapist but in Season 2 they split Nimki and Indraneil and brought new ML for her who was lookalike of her rapist. Cvs could not pair her with rapist so to please rapist actor fans they brought his lookalike who was a good guy.

In another whose title itself clearly said it's story of a woman and her abuser, many idiots on social media even in this forum itself some girls wanted them as pair. You could see in that forum. The FL got married to another guy who was later killed and she had plastic surgery with new face. Again they brought lookalike of her abuser as new ML for her.

Is it really easy to live with one's rapist and anusar lookalike who would remind their wrong things done to them all their life?

This is first time i ve discussed this much on IF otherwise iam not at all active on IF as i dont want to take part in fd wars nd all plus discussing abt whole itv rather than only one show is really good

Btw you should rename it as "General discussion about television" as we have discussing in this thread from remakes to itv shows to kdrama to behind the scenes politics
