Lovely post, Niyaaaaaaaa! â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸đ¤ I am so loving this war between the two women. It's Sai's way of saying that she doesn't want to accept her invitation to this war but somehow she's already pulled into it.
I actually can't justify PP's anger and rage because I personally believe that we choose our happiness or sorrow by our own reactions to the situations. So, as part of my value system, I cannot understand why she is putting herself through this pitiful situation when she has all the backing, confidence and intelligence to make the right choice. While we want to blame Virat for it -- yes his inability to speak up the truth is a big hassle but I will not blame him for PP's misplaced notion. I agree with someone who said that he's been trying to push her away, he is NOT making the first move towards her for any new gestures etc that should make her feel that he wants to continue a relationship with her. If I were in her place, I would convince myself that this man has moved on and never loved me because he couldn't fight for me in the first place. Period. What is my jagah in his life doesn't even matter.
But PP holds on to her own illusion of what she wants from Virat, trying to find it in his words or actions, even when he has not actually done it the way she sees it. For example, regretting the marriage - I never felt from any of those dialogues that he regretted the marriage. He was just angry and ranting and Sai -- the person he feels a connection with -- was at the receiving end. Not PP. But PP saw it from her own lens which continues to be tinted with the colour of the vaada.
I so LOVED how Sai was restless recalling Virat saying he's choked to the throat and won't be able to push down the food. He already explained his action of pushing away the plate and she got the point. She wasn't hysterical about it but was trying to cool it off by finding a solution, which is her typical trait.
Yes, we can blame Virat for the vaada but well PP knows it's already broken. So what's the point of holding on to it? I don't think she's in such dire straits that she won't survive without the vaada. She should have the courage to walk up to Virat and tell him : vaada nibhana ya Nahi nibhaana tumhare haath me Hain. Like Sai.
But no, she won't do it because that is her drug. She wants to live in this fantasy that she holds so much importance in his life that he's promised to set himself on fire and let her watch the show.
Sai did feel bad for her during the Gadchiroli scenes right after their wedding and even later when she would sense her discomfort while Virat was blindly trying to push her as a 'guide'. But now, as she has seen PP's true colours within three days, I don't think it's as much sympathy as the need to show her the mirror.
Her "mujh se Judi cheez ke baare me bolengi" had weight. She even looked at Virat when she said it. Sai knows that Virat's My best friend essay and PP's 'dosti' for Virat are not the same thing. I thought more than even showing her the mirror, it was Sai's way of knocking at Virat's head indirectly. Because she knows that people like Karishma are speaking about their relationship behind their backs in the house. To Sai, Virat may not be her 'husband' yet, but she will still guard his reputation. And she knows that the gossip mill is working overtime in Chavan niwas, which Virat is almost oblivious to. So she also warned him about someone seeing PP in their room at night.
But yes, PP has invited Sai into a play area that she really doesn't need to step into. Sai already owns the field.
That's just my opinion.
Jankiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! (Nahi... ab yeh i kuch zyada hogaya, now it's time to change. Next post se, I'll be calling you "Januuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"đ)
Your analysis is just amazing as usual. Kaise kar lete ho yaar? Kahi tum ek psychologist toh nahi ho??
Even I do believe that people are responsible for their situations, at least in Pakhi's case it is true. I agree to the fact that she's holding to the vaada as if her life depends on it, even when she knows that it has lost its value.
It is true that Virat hasn't done anything to further her illusions, but he hasn't done anything to stop them either. He didn't keep her at arm's length. Rather, he actually gave her the monopoly over his relationship with Sai. In the name of making her feel not left out and important, he is making her delusional even further.
What I mean to say is that, though Pakhi is responsible for whatever situation she is in, we cannot completely absolve Virat off it. I'm not even talking about the vaada here. The vaada was given in a moment of weakness, agreed. But he, for one moment, doesn't seem to reflect on the damage this has done. I personally feel that we let Virat off the wagon very easily.
Also, he doesn't for one moment seem to consider the fact that Samrat might have left because of this reason, though Pakhi had told him that Samrat left and he must know about them.
I do think that Pakhi is stupid enough to still hold on to that vaada, but she has no reason to let go of it, until yesterday's episode, when Virat actually seems to be taking a stance. Maybe, in the upcoming episodes, we can see her coming to terms with the fact that the vaada boy is gone for good.
And coming to Sai, apart from feeling a slight sense of possessiveness for Virat, she does know the kind of people that exist in the Chavan Nivas. Even on Pakhi's side, except for Bhavani, Mansi and to some extent Ninad, there is no one else. Omi, Sonali and Karishma are like hyenas waiting for their prey. Woh log kisika nahi ho sakte hai. And Sai seems to realise this better than Pakhi. Sai doesn't want to be involved in any more drama than she can help.
Also, Sai does understand that what Virat feels for Pakhi is not the same as what Pakhi feels for Virat. So if she cannot make Pakhi understand, she needs to knock some sense into Virat first.
Let us see how these dynamics play out.
