In Gen Y, what are some examples of actors/actresses who really get under the skin of the character?

Ayushmann Khurrana

Actresses:

Kangana Ranaut

Deepika Padukone

Alia Bhatt

Taapsee Pannu

Parineeti Chopra

Any others you can think of?

Ranveer, Vicky, Shahid and Rajkumar for sure in the guys.

In the girls I'd say Kangana, Vidya, Priyanka and Rani.

Oh I counted Rani coz she was still super active and an A Lister till 2008.

I think Vidya can be considered with Kangana and PC since Vidya officially took up mainstream working in 2005 with Parineeta...Kangana debuted in 2006 and PC is technically their senior, she debuted in 2002.

Would add Radhika Apte , Gulshan Deviah , Amit Sial , Divyendu Sharma..Varun Sobti may be..Could be missing few others too..

Currently, I don't like Kangana at all. But She is a brilliant actor If you watch Judgemental and Panga one after another you will realise How brilliantly She played two such different characters.

Others recently would be Sanya Malhotra in Photograph and Yami in Baala. I would particularly liked to mention Yami because Hers was a very tough role. There is a fine line if she would have crossed it She would have become a caricature . Sanya is outstanding in Photograph .

I think Ajay devgon , Irfan khan, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher , Ranveer, Priyanka chopra,Kongana Sen,Vidya , Deepika (only in Piku, finding fanny, Chennai express,cocktail).

Alia in Highway and Raazi ,though the performance was captivating , she never makes me forget that it is Alia playing the character. Kangana ,well I loved her role in fashion and queen but in all other movies I felt Kangana is emoting wearing different costumes.

Kaheka tough role, it was a typical OTT role about a shallow tik toker.

You need to ask who doesn't get under the skin of the character and yet deliver convincing performances? They are way more talented!
