As much as I am happy he's come out, I am a bit perplexed about what it means for LGBT community? Unfortunately, there are countries where trans community is not even RECOGNIZED (thankfully, India is not one of them now).
Also, I don't want to be rude but "Them/They" pronouns seem a bit of a stretch to me (just a personal opinion), and are actually inadvertently contributing to a lot of transphobia worldwide, because these "coming out" stories are not taken seriously and are IN FACT mocked these days, because of its complexity.
To all the people who are not able to understand Elliot's gender identity/expression, I just wanna say that it's perfectly OKAY to NOT BE ABLE to understand this.
Gender identity is a complex thing, and getting more complex these days due to all the conversations around gender fluidity
But hey! As a human being, the least you can do is wish them well for their life, and at least TRY to support them. No reason to hate Elliot or people like him, if they aren't bothering you or your life.
Therefore as human being, I wish Elliot all well, and I hope he is at peace now in his life.
