Was Sonu Nigam underrated in a generation after 2012

I mean he still can sing songs of current singers better than them he get the most expression full voice yet he wasnt used by music label after he claimed the royalty issue in 2013 it was time when his songs got replaced at behist of music companies

Was this during the time period he was drinking patrons and threatening music labels

He is my Fav siger after kishore Kumar. I love Sonu Nigams voice and versatility.. He stopped singing due to Music Mafia

he stood for singers right for royalty , music companies were singning illegal contracts with singers according to which 60 percent of money a singer will earn from concert will be given to music labels , labels wanted to keep the royalty of singers with themselves ....Sonu was vocal about singers right for royalty and demanding legal contracts in 2013 after which his many major mainstream songs were given to javid ali , arijit and mohit chuahan and kick song too ...
