The more I read and dig out information, it seems Kangana became unhinged because she didn't get the attention and/or appreciation she wanted from the insiders. Every slight she received affected her negatively and that's why she has became the way she is. Interesting but also sad, in a way.

Yeah friend in DP and lover in Hrithik/Ranbir. She just wanted access to the inner sanctum of Bollywood. Maybe that's why she has become so bitter lol, because all her hopes were thwarted and dreams were broken.
